Finally saw the episode -- just awesome. Agree with the earlier poster who mentioned Beamon did some messed up stuff when he was undercover with the supremacists so he had something like that in him. I think they're trying to show that he and Phillip aren't that different, they're just on opposite sides. When one marriage is going poorly (the Beamons) the other is going well, then visa versa. Great television.
I can't believe that no one has posted saying how awesome this episode was tonight. I just loved the music in particular at the end where someone did a killer rendition of To Love Somebody (the way I love you).
The music at the end is awesome. It is artful.

Seems incredibly risky for Philip to let Gregory go. He was committed to go out like that but there was no guarantee he would.

That episode was fantastic television.
I just loved the beginning where Beamon and Phillip are both trying to console people who lost friends that they know they killed. Again showing how similar the two are.
yeah, that's solely Tv-land stuff so they could have that great music overlayed with a dramatic ending. No chance they risk everything so he can die a different way. Way too many variables.
Tremendous episode again tho. This show has had a really strong season. Can they keep it up for 3 or 4? or 2? I can't wait to find out.
Agreed. Never liked the Gregory storyline anyway.
I kept waiting for Philip and Gregory to have a confrontation that never happened.
the biggest unbelievable thing on tv right now was that storyline anyway.
Like any self respecting black man would be interested in that boney ass flat-chested girl.
As a self respecting black man, If the choice is Keri Russell or some obese ghetto black girl from the Philly hood, I'm easily taking Russell

Am I the only one found the ending of the Gregory storyline unrealistic? I thought for sure that Granny was going to kill him. Why would Moscow care to take some random black dude into Russian witness protection? As a black guy, I kept thinking there is no way the KGB wouldn't kill him so they could cover their tracks. I would also be suspicious of their offer. Knowing those kind of people, I'm not trusting them to take me to Moscow to live a life of luxury as a minority that's hated in Russia
Yeah I wondered if that was part of the reason he decided to go out the way that he did. He saw them snatch up that one lady and promise her that they'd take her to Cuba, only to kill her. Even though he trusts Keri Russell, he probably didn't have a great amount of trust that her bosses would hold up their end of the bargain. He was an asset that became expendable.
"This is not going to go well for you, old lady."
Did the previews show the captured guy giving sketch drawings to the police/FBI? I know she was well disguised but this is going to get interesting.
I don't know much about women but thanks to this show I've learned that when I assist them in assassinations they reward me with affection
I learned that women show you love and sex when you give them an opportunity to backstab their own country.
Is the Russian guy from the rezidentura the same guy who played the israeli on The Wire?
Just caught up to the last episode. I thought it was definitely the weakest of the series so far after what was one of my two favorites (the Reagan assasination and the Gregory dying episodes were the high points for me). This one just didn't really work well for me.
NINA WHAT ARE YOU DOING
Can we get some naked Nina for the finale? Please? PLEASE?
I can't imagine the Martha marriage lasting long. Philip still has his kids he needs to care for.
Agreed- I'm growing tired of the Martha storyline. The centerpiece of the show is Philip's and Elizabeth's relationship. I think they get back to the complexities of that without Martha.
Martha is just a wedge. Phillip will kill her in the finale. Love this show.
The bug is in place. Time to cover his tracks.
