West Wing: In lieu of a write-up, this will just be me posting awesome pictures of HOF Martin Sheen and Rob Lowe and letting Terps99 defend the program. Enjoy.
[Jimmy Smits for the trifecta!]
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
Homeland: This award-winning Showtime hit brings you back into the world of Howard Gordon (executive producer on “24”), and locks in almost immediately with a pulse-pounding tension that only escalates. Claire Danes and Damian Lewis (he of HOF mini-series Band of Brothers) play off each other as well as any characters in any shows in this tournament. Their chemistry sets the stage for both seasons’ arcs, and Homeland’s freshman year was as taut a thriller as any action show in memory. Danes’ bipolar CIA agent works furiously to solve a conspiracy that only she can see, and Damian Lewis brings a quiet, simmering rage and passion to the role of Sgt. Nicholas Brody, a tortured (in so many ways) POW returning home after years of war. Special kudos also go to Mandy Patinkin, who plays the role of Saul (Danes’ whip-smart CIA boss/mentor) with warmth, tons of humor, and grace.
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
Some will mock, but I'm all-in for ***Homeland***
Season 1 of homeland was compelling and enjoyable. Season 2, not so much.
west wing was iconic.
***homeland***. It's just better. no need to handicap shows for being on HBO or Showtime.
HoopheadVII: "Guess you won't say, "Sorry I'm a little off today" anytime again soon; Eaglesception is a bitch"
I think Homeland has the potential to go a long way, but it's not going to get my vote here. That third picture says so much about the talent on WW and it doesn't even show Elizabeth Moss or Dule Hill.

Oh come on, body of work people. It's clearly ***West Wing***. Homeland (which I also like) has had 1 great season and 1 ok season.
Someone link a Homeland clip better than this one
A clip from The West Wing; Season 4, Episode 2. Great use of repetition and a great money line: "The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels."
By a wide margin.
Did Kunal hijack historicus's account?
***West Wing*** is one of my favorite shows. Can't believe it's gonna lose so early.
The cathedral scene from "Two Cathedrals" after Mrs. Landingham's funeral, when the President gives God a piece of his mind.

Someone throw up the interrogation scene from Season 2. That's probably Homeland's submission.
I'm worried. Fuck whoever gave Homeland the 6 in West Wing's pod
Not the scene you're talking about, and this cuts off before it actually gets really good, but this is my favorite episode & scene (though the season two interrogation is right behind).
When I was in high school my AP Gov teacher rewarded us with an episode of the West Wing every week. What a show.
