YES TIMES ONE MILLION.
I thought about this for soups but that didn't really come true. And the bitching about NOT revealing seeds is worse imo.
Deadwood had a shot at GOAT if they had finished it. Hoopleheaded cocksuckers.
I kinda like it. Would be an interesting experiment.
Bothers me but doesn't bother me, and for this tourney too many will hold that against it.
Reveal the seeds after and endure the bitching.
If this was a best single season of TV it would be quite interesting. In fact that tourney would be quite interesting.
Now that's extremely interesting.
Great dark horse season, Season 1 of Scrubs. It's phenomenal.
That would also be fun. Would you limit it to one season per series?
No chance. But you'd have to expand the field to 128
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
Well, you could have the committee or mini-tournies/polls decide the best season of a single show to move things along.
It would really be interesting for shows like LOST and Prison Break, as they would jump way, way up the rankings.
Same with 24, and even The Office, if you can throw out some of the later seasons. It also allows shows like The Americans to enter the discussion, assuming they finish off what has been an outstanding rookie campaign.

I have the bracket seeded now, but would be fine just pulling matchups from each region at random and not mentioning the seeds. I'll need consensus on that, though. With the exception of the 16 seeds, which are play-in games. Which would then give away the one seeds...
I've done a few more of the writeups, but will be pulling Wiki/IMDB descriptions for a lot of these if I don't get submissions.
Somewhat unfair, but them's the breaks.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
Just watched Freaks and Geeks "Smooching and mooching". I nominate that as the 1:1 seed when we have a greatest episode tournament.

Yeah that episode was pretty perfect
As mentioned by a few others, a lot of posters vote based on seed so maybe go w/o them for more genuine results.
As for the 16s, does it really matter who gets the play-in games? If matchups are random then maybe anyone could play in the play-in games. not much different then two heavy hitters colliding in rd 1.
Which is exactly why seeds shouldn't be listed...that's a pretty stupid way to vote.
I will go with matchups, not seeded, and save the bracket link for later viewing. We have a decent amount of the write-ups, and I will try and get this thing going on Monday--but probably closer to Tuesday or Wednesday.
Matchups will be pulled at random from each region.
Judges will determine the winner of the play-in games to avoid knowing the 1/16 matchups
Wait do people really vote on the seeds? I figure may vote on the pictures in the food competition but I must have missed people voting on the seed...
I don't think people vote on seeds. Who cares what 3-5 judges think? People vote for the one they want. Bitching about seeding is a big part of the fun.
I think they mean people vote BASED ON the seed, rather than other reasons. In this tournament, the judges seeded everything.
I agree that part of the fun is being told what a slobbering halfwit you were for seeding X above Y, or Z being in the tournament at all.
Oh yeah that's what I meant..just a typo. I don't think I've ever seen any reference until the last few pages of this thread of people voting based on the higher seed or what not. Put me in the camp of wanting to see the seeds kept because it is fun bitching about them and seeing the upsets. Also if there were no seeds couldn't there be a possible 1v2 scenario in round 1 if its random? Not a huge deal either way but just my two cents.
I can't imagine why people would vote based on seeds. I mean, you either have an opinion or you don't. Not saying people don't do this, but it seems weird.
