Agreed that this is the best... by a mile. I laughed out loud at a handful of stories, but at one point I was genuinely at this one.
Dana? Sure. SAT knew her very well.....
Call me a relic, call me what you will,
Say I'm old-fashioned, say I'm over the hill....
99% of storytellers would make this story suck. You made it thoroughly entertaining. A+
This. That was outstanding.
I LOL'd. You probably scared the fuck out that guy.

LOL Holy hell, what a hilarious visual
I texted IHJG and told him to read this thread. He said he got to the part about the axe-throwing and had to stop and save the rest for later because he was basically crying at work.
Bingo. There's a fundamental difference between re-telling an amazing event in your life and telling a great story.
classlessthug: I have too much on my plate to worry about the fact that my junk intimidates some needle D undergrad.
Damn, I was just about to post that I tried to read this at work and had to stop and save it for later because I was crying, but you ruined it for me. Asshole.
That other guy was either completely psychotic or he had evacuated the entirety of his bowels while running at a crazed axe murderer.
Note to Tiffles: This is how you integrate clothing and accessories into a story.
but what brand of loafers were you wearing?
i keep re-reading this story and laugh every time
The whole kittens thing kills me
Do yourself a favor and read this again
This story is so good that I'm upvoting Neal just for letting me read this one more time.
It's pathetic how often I think of this story and laugh really hard to myself for a couple of minutes.
How did I miss this the first time? Amazing.
OMG this is the first time I read this story. The image of a guy in an executioner's mask holding up a plastic axe and screaming while running towards another man is killing me. I'm trying to hold back laughter at the office and fake coughing at the same time so people don't think I'm weird.
"safer" lol. Nice Glendening reference. Solid bump. How did I miss this the first time.
Holy crap I can't believe I missed this the first time.
Also, I feel like "Mr. Skittles was but a distant memory." Should be the last line in the epic book version of this story. That line would be like "Call me Ishmael," or "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."
"The biggest losers in life are people correcting message board grammar . Fact not opinion"
It was the best of times, it was the BLURST of times?!?!
I'm going to work 'Mr Skittles was but a distant memory' into at least one conversation this weekend. Preferably tomorrow night at dinner with my friend's Harvard professor parents.

When the Harvard professors are going on about the economy or math or something else drab and intellectual, cut in and say "you know that reminds me of this one time in college..." like youre going to add something of substance and then just tell this exact story in explicit detail.
