Petition to make it so is in the article.
It really doesn't matter to me but what do you guys think?
I'd rather the first 2 days of March Madness be holidays.
they should just have the superbowl on saturday
If they go to that 18 game schedule, the Super Bowl would be on Presidents day weekend?
classlessthug: I have too much on my plate to worry about the fact that my junk intimidates some needle D undergrad.
They won't do it on Saturday because of TV viewership. Or at least that's what I've read-I don't buy it would result in lower viewers.
Yes we should be off the day after.
If you're a regular person with a regular job like most of the doofuses on here, just take the day off. That's what I'm doing.
dont come around here with your bleacher report crap
No, it shouldn't. The majority of people affected directly by the SB are those who live in the cities (and states) that the teams are from. Yes, over 100 million may watch it but is not the total population.
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
More Americans probably watch the Super Bowl than identify themselves as practicing Christians.
Fed already does, right?
I don't buy this either. Majority of Americans would watch the Super Bowl if it was on at 11 am on a Tuesday...I can't imagine which demographic would watch on Sunday, but not Saturday
i hate using a vacation day to be hungover.
Presidents Day is neither Lincoln's nor Washington's birthday. Move it to the Monday after the SB. It's not that hard.
Most gov't employees don't seem to do much for me anyway, so another day where they can sit at home and make my commute easier is a good thing.
Then don't get hungover
That is probably the smartest post I have ever read here
Every Monday should be a National Holiday.
I remember thinking when they were kicking around MLK Day as holiday that scheduling the SB around that would have been smart. Maybe not so popular politically, but good otherwise.
