"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
These are the trees that went down in our neighbors yard -- the root ball is about 10 feet away from our meth lab, which is just to the right of the picture.
The other tree is the neighbor on the other side of us-- our house is on the right side of the fence. They've cut away most of the part that hit the deck, but you can still see where it took out the railing.
My hurricane sandy diet lead to one of the healthiest poops of my life. I sent it via email to everyone I know with a title similar to this thread. Can I post it here?

"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank

another pic of Manhattan
Bumping this to show the beach scene in OCMD. While spared compared to NY/NJ, OC lost a significant amount of beach and dunes. The first picture is from this summer at 119th St. The second picture is post-Sandy. While not lined up exactly, you can see that the dunes used to extend to the poles on the right side of the 2nd picture and the water used to come up to about where they are breaking in that picture. I hope they can replenish quickly or we are looking at a very crowded summer on the beach. I estimate about 50% of the beach is gone in all the places I could see.

Oops that's not right - and this board won't let me fucking fix it.
LOL, it should just be 2 pix - before and after but this is better than nothing.

LOL, I'm about to give the fuck up.
This is "before" obv.
man that's crazy
my parents place down in Fenwick had no power until friday night/saturday morning. had some bad water damage on our garage level, they spent all of saturday knocking out some dry wall/cleaning up the mess. they were expecting it to be a lot worse, but yikes.
People on Hatteras are the fucking best. Look how much shit they got cleaned up in a week.
The dunes absolutely did their job. As did the seawall down at the boardwalk. My understanding is that the next regular beach replenishment is scheduled for 2014. Maybe Durr can help here if he sees this - will they definitely do it sooner or will it have to wait? I believe it is jointly funded fed/local (state?).
