Hoop would have started theorycrafting about trying to carry a tie through OT and kill 2 per day by now.
As was Gooner posting an entire rundown on day1. I don't do that but I'm guessing that he's me. Character names and alignments are irrelevant right now but people need to separate what is being posted clearly in character from what isn't. Kthx.
And to echo what Toogs said, have fun day1. After that, if you don't have a posting restriction it needlessly clutters and confuses shit. So. Thanks.
HoopheadVII: "Guess you won't say, "Sorry I'm a little off today" anytime again soon; Eaglesception is a bitch"
Bogie was most known for constantly advocating killing multiples a day. FTN isn't a saint. What he posted about rudeness and vulgar language is obv supposed to be hoop I think.
The ot rule is indeed terrible. Oh well. Move on fuckers
Also fwiw, this post reads as rom having knowledge of 2001's role even as an off hand throwaway line.
I've never played with hoophead but the thing about the OT rule complaint seemed like FTN to me. He has been vocal about OT rules before.
His schtick doesn't read mafia or civ to me but I do wonder why you seem to be protecting him.
Please explain this more. You know I've been getting a bad wrap (probably fairly) for talking about how I think in some rare situations civs should sometimes fake being a civ special to get hit at night and protect real civ specials. When I read rommy's post I assumed he was pulling my leg. Not sure why you wouldn't think that too. Unless you're mixing up his reference of faking a civ with this actual game of taking on someone else's identity.
No, I'm just turning over a new leaf.
I would like to apologize to the other 25 players for allowing gooner to bait me into that ridiculous discussion last night. Reading back through, that was clearly the intention. I should have just ignored him the first time he tried it and moved on.
Most of this is wrong, unfortunately. The OT rule is most certainly an in-game discussion point because it completely changes how the end of rounds should play. I'd advocate avoiding OT at all costs this game.
Generally there is not (and should not) be any night call between the end of regulation and OT.
My intention was obviously simply to call attention to a pretty major change in the rules for this game, since most people don't bother to read the first post. Again, I apologize for letting gooner bait me into discussing his play/modding from past games.
ftn saying one of the rules are so bad he almost doesn't want to play then tells posts a million times and tells people to vote off gooner
Edit to above: remove "tells" before "posts a million times" and it makes sense
He's clearly going to be a distraction.
Vote count coming after I pass out for a few hours.

I didn't realize we had stared already, I've been away for most of the weekend.
That said, I'm going with ***Gooner*** just because of his awful post about where he leans on everyone 30 seconds into the game.
I cant believe at 8am on a Sunday this thread is at 6 pages.
Ive always looked at OT as a negative for the civs, it allows for hectic end of round movement and lazy voting in the time leading up to the deadline. Im ok to avoid OT, but at the same time I think the 5 minute grace period allows everyone to digest any late round movement and act accordingly.
Poor reasoning. That's cearly a role requirement.
Just vote for him because of his obvious over the top mafia banter arguement with FTN
No. This is jtp's doing. He's kept me around for his bizarre HOF resume.
Protecting =/= getting people to realize what is in character and what is not. You don't vote for people based on what they're forced to post or if they're acting like someone else on purpose.
The problem with it is killshots that are a second or two late. Totally changes the dynamic of the game. It is what it is.
If someone is killshotted right at 10:35:01, cant we have the governor save them?
please don't play with poetry
You're better than this. You know of the discussion 2001 had with toogs about fake claiming as a civ.
Does anyone feel like "you better not fuck us" is a wee bit forced here?
