my friend just got this from Redbox and made me watch it. What a bizarre movie, and totally not what I was expecting.
I think I liked it but I can't be sure what to think of it. I haven't been this confused after watching a movie since Vanilla Sky.
Watched it on a flight back from San Juan yesterday. I thought it was better than that. Some funny scenes, typical Jason Segal type movie. I liked it when he totally goes off the rails.
Certainly not a great movie, but not all that bad. But then again, I was on an airplane, which typically lowers my standards.
I only watched it because it was on an international flight without many choices, but What to Expect When YoureExpecting wasactually prett funny.
Things got pretty strange there towards the end, up until that point I was totally on board. The weirdness of the end took a little away for me, but I still give it my seal of approval.
Hobo with a Shotgun is a tale of a hobo who murders bad people with a shotgun. He protects this girl who I assume is on her way to becoming a prostitute from two mechanical evil robots who I guess are ninjas. I gave this movie a drunken 2 stars.
2nd grade book report over.

Pic Sigs are for losers.
I keep meaning to download this, since I'm the biggest Rutger Hauer fanboi evar. Mini-me was a hair away from being named Rutger. I sometimes regret not pulling the trigger on that.
Just watched the hunt for red October odd I've never seen it. Pretty good. Other than Connery as a Russian lol.
Considering how much he's aged, (Rutger, not your son) it's a good drive-in level movie. Beer and popcorn (or equivalents) mandatory, though.
Yeah, downloaded it. We have a bunch of stuff on the DVR to get through but I'm looking forward to viewing Hobo.
I saw Martha Marcy May Marlene this weekend. I'd recommend it if you're into Hitchcockian, psycho-thriller type movies. While a bit disturbing, it's beautifully made and Elizabeth Olsen is fantastic.
Resident Evil - Retribution. A soulless travesty. While I often like soulless travesties, this one was particularly boring and stupid.
The movie that just finished on SyFy, "Primal." It's an Australian, out in the wilderness, strange things happening to the group of guys and girls movie, and it was surprisingly interesting.
Have you watched all the previous RE's?
Sure. Some reviewer said that they're inexorably going downhill in a straight line progression, and I agree. I went to RT, and saw that it was at 23%. I'm surprised it was that high.
I've got RE Damnation yet to watch, I'll comment on that in a week or 2, though that's kind of off the story track.
And I am still one of the biggest fans of the first, and the second wasn't bad. although Nemesis was kind of a stupid project. But there is just so much bad about this latest one.
Warrior was good. A bit too boxing story formulaic, but not sure whether that's because of the writers ignorance or just because they're trying to appeal to the average viewer who can relate to boxing a lot more than MMA, so this is more of an introduction to the sport for them.
I thought it was kind of funny that all of the training montages were around running and boxing and then the one dude ends up winning most of his matches using jiujitsu.
It was worth the $1 for Redbox. I'm glad I didn't spend more than that. Good for a few chuckles.
Borat >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Dictator >>>>>> Bruno
Seriously?!?! It's a terrific movie. Plus Kate Hudson is smoking.
Saw Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol. Probably the best MI in the series. Is there a hotter African American actress than Paula Patton?
I dare anyone who grew up in the eighties to not love Rock of Ages. Unpossible. I ain't even embarrassed.
not a movie but just got off a flight where they had a tv comedy block...parks and rec, family guy, etc. Anyway one of the shows was something called "new girl" and it was HOF awful. Like one of the worst things i've ever watched.
Nah New Girl is solid and occasionally great.
Wow. I had never even heard of it but I just thought it was one of the most awful things I had to watch. Especially in the midst of brilliance like Parks and Rec (which I almost never watch either, but is hilarious) and other high quailty shows.
I haven't seen every episode. Maybe you just saw a bad one.
I guess, but I didn't get the feeling that it was bc of an episode. It was the overall dumbass tone of the show, the unfuniness of the situations, and the annoying actors (omg a black guy is scared of the dark! hilarious!).
Do you not watch football or playoff baseball?
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
