21 jump street was hilarious. Fuck Science!
I second that. Was A LOT funnier than I expected.
Attitude Reflects Leadership
Man on a Ledge... It was definitely no Snakes on a Plane.
I can't think of a single, non-porn, I'd be willing to watch in this manner.
I normally would agree with you, but this one was a British flick that had a very limited release in the states (according to IMDB it grossed $21k total in the states). I was surprised that you couldn't get this sucker on Netflix, as it is a very good film.
Chronicle. Hasn't the 'wimpy guy gets super powers, they corrupt him, he dies' theme been used pretty much to death? it certainly was here. And the horrible SFX with guys flying around, please. All around boring flick.
There were three books in the series, and stealing the money is kind of important in the next two fwiw. I'd recommend reading the books. I loved the movie, and the books are great.
I watched I Love You to Death the other night. It's an oldie but goodie.
The Descendants. Very well acted and I can understand why it was critically acclaimed. Having said that, I found it largely unenjoyable to watch.
My Life Without Me.
There may or may not have been tears. Wannafightaboutit?
I haven't read through this entire thread, so if this has already been posted forgive me, but you can see tons of movies and tv shows without commercials at ytepisodes.com
Sherlock Holmes - very interesting and entertaining, a cinematic delight! RD Jr, and Jude Law did a great job in this recasting of 2 characters you thought you knew.
Watched To Have and Have Not the other night with my grandpa. Pretty much Casablanca-lite (made in 1944), but Walter Brennan does a great job as the alcoholic sidekick.
And 19 year old Lauren Bacall, in her first movie, is just gorgeous.
"...you do know how to whistle, don't cha...?"
Very solid movie overall. If you liked Casablanca and wanted to know if they made a less good version of it set in Martinique, the answer is yes.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
21 Jump Street was effin hilarious.
My GF told me it was Taken for girls. It's not. You spend the whole movie wondering if Amanda Seyfried's character will end up being crazy because the alternative is the movie is really bad. Turns out, it IS that bad. Unintentionally hilarious throughout.
Great movie, loved the acting by Gosling, and a HOF soundtrack
Transformers 3 - I give up. Whirlwinds of flying metal do not make a good movie. Hot chicks in the movie, make a good movie. This chick was no Megan Fox. Therefore, not a good movie.
Small pointage for Spock being in the movie, though.
Why would you voluntarily watch this.
I have committed myself to watching every movie that comes to me for free. In that group, there WILL be some clunkers.
Spiderman 3. Holy god this is bad. I am laughing so hard I'm crying at many scenes that seem like they are supposed to be serious
ok, back from quick work trip
Hunger Games - went in with low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty entertaining, I would give it a B
Shine The Light - If you like the Rolling Stones, you will enjoy it, but was a little disappointed as it was more concert than documentary. So maybe I should have read up on it
Lockout - premise was pretty absurd, a prison in the sky, but really liked that Guy Pearce character and Maggy is always easy on the eyes...and some pretty decent actors in it...so thumbs up
Beats Rhymes & Life - the documentary on Tribe Called Quest....if you were/are a fan, you will love it..it went through the whole life cycle of a band...and behind the scenes with Q-Tip is just amazing..
Jackie Robinson isn't dirty. This isn't Pack Pride.
I definitely laughed out loud pretty hard in the theater at likely these same scenes. So so bad.
Is the Spiderman 3 the one when he goes emo and does the dancing/singing scene? I always feel awkward watching that....
Hunger Games was suprisingly good and very entertaining
The Next Three Days - Russell Crowe, suspense, excellent, even my wife managed to stay awake for the whole thing.
I watched Inception for the 3rd time last night.
3rd time around, still just as confusing an cryptic as the first
I just embarrassed myself with this post
After all these years, I finally watched Pulp Fiction. There's only one Tarantino, I'll say that much. Good, but I kinda feel like I need a re-watch to fully appreciate it.
