Yeah, that's pretty clear by your characterizing it as "a heavy rainstorm" and "the DC Area is freaking out over nothing."
pretty sure this is the most offensive post in this thread
I find it funny how few people went to work today. There was nobody on the road on my way in or on the drive home. Building was half empty. I understand if theres a legit reason but lots of people taking an unnecessary holiday today.
My work told everyone to stay home because the office was closed.
All the messages from the higher ups are so vague and conflicting that it's hard to know what you are supposed to be doing.
Yesterday morning they told people to stay off te roads unless they had to go somewhere. What is the threshold for 'have to?' Later toward the afternoon, MOM ordered and urged people to stay off the roads for 24 hours. Ok, which is it? Am I allowed on the roads?
This morning it was the same as yesterday morning. I felt dumb not going in since everything had passed and the office being filled yesterday (I took off for other reasons) so I went in at my normal time and felt like I was breaking the law being out there with so few people. Then I get to work and the office was closed.
this was your original post:
"Can everybody chill the hell out about a heavy rainstorm?"
No where in those 10 words of brilliance is the DC area or local broadcasting coverage mentioned. It's a big country buddy, get out and see it some time.
Go fuck yourself 02terp.
I have family in NJ. I spend time in post-Katrina New Orleans.
Your total inability to read in context--a DC resident shaking his head at the media's completely self-centered freak-out while others actually had things to worry about--is your own fault;not mine.
Again: go fuck yourself. You're a god damned imbecile.

we're replying to the exact context you gave us!
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
It merited attention. But not the colossal freak-out and the region (which was fine, from start to finish) catching feelings about some downed power lines that's gone on for the last 72 hours.
In DC, it was in fact "a heavy rainstorm," which was infinitely less severe than any number of storms we've seen over the past several years.
I suppose there's no middle ground between Armageddon and "Hey Bob, lotta rain today."
Lol @ your indignation.
If you set out to piss everyone off, don't get mad when you do.
Where the hell is my boy Phat Phelix to pwn this noob like he did in the olden days?
Princeton degree value plummeting.
Is YNCMT upset that "the media" was self centeredly trying to make a buck? I'm lost.
YNCMT vs. The Suck
this is the NOTRE DAME of storms
Phatboy if you had any balls I'd meet you at the AFA Boxing gym and have Coach Weichers put some gloves on us.
lol, this thread is amazing. Also amazing is that YNCMT was a sleeper cell of stupidity all these years, and chose this as the topic to blow up his dynamite vest.
