in an attempt to prevent merger and price inflation.
[JeffErmann Thread Title Agenda Alert -- don't worry guys, the DoJ is on our side on this one!]
The US Justice Department says a planned merger of the Budweiser and Corona beer brewers would stifle competition.
I thought it was more about Obama's war against white trash.
I want the merger to go through so I can just lump all terrible beer together and not deal with it.
What are the white-trash beer rankings? I would think Corona would be far lower than Bud on those rankings.
grupo modelo does more than just corona.
Phatboy if you had any balls I'd meet you at the AFA Boxing gym and have Coach Weichers put some gloves on us.
[This is not a serious thread.] Now contribute to the white trash beer rankings or GTFO.
I guess they moved up now that PBR is hipster.
I bet half the DOJ attorneys drink nothing but craft brews anyway. This is one industry wehre I don't care about consolidation, way too much good beer brewed away from IBV to even care.
to me heineken and corona are the beers that white trash people who have money and want to drink a 'premium' beer drink. Like the head foreman of the construction crew or the chick who owns the hair salon and drives the really nice pontiac.
Other white trash beers: Coors light, bud/bud light (although I don't mind Bud if there's a really good special), anything that is mainly sold in cans (busch, natty light, ketstone), and lately Yuengling has been popping up on my radar.
Isn't all beer mostly a "WT" beverage anyway? Tell me where I'm going wrong here.
You're going wrong by drinking terrible beer.
I don't know a single WT person who drinks Belgium style beers at all.
I think I'm going to break open my Westvleteren XII next Wednesday.
haha, my dad used to think stella and heineken were as good as it got. Onc b-day i got him a bunch of chimay and sam smith. now my mom yells at me cuz he buys 13$ bottles of beers now.
anyone try the new black crown bud product? i usually will try anything but platinum was so gross i am worried it is not even worth a taste.
im glad u left miller off the white trash beer, looks like i am in the clear. (i got bottles at least)

Corona is the summer white trash beer- Ocean City (MD) is a pretty good barometer of white trash and that seems like the number 1 beer there
also in my experience, a lot of "weekend white trash" (professionals who turn into white trash on weekends) drink corona
Beer is garbage. Just empty calories.
It also has alcohol.
I drink plenty of good beer. My point was that it's still white males that drink 90% of it. Women older than 22 drink wine, AAs drink mixed or cognac, etc. Sorry to stereotype, but that's what I see.

I'm pretty WT by this board's standards, and it's one of my favorite genres. Max's Belgium Fest in Feb is a must attend event for me.
Did you just make a date with yourself to drink beers 5 days from now. Wtf.
What are thoughts on malt liquor? Is a 40 ok if you finish before you get home?
It's my fucking birthday.
Happy fucking Birthday
I like premium craft beer as much as anyone, but I'll be damned if Natty Light doesn't hold a special place in my heart.
Doesn't every beer have its place? If I'm trying to enjoy a few I'll go with a craft IPA or a pale but if I'm throwing back for the long haul ( tailgating, camping or July 4th) I'll take my "white trash" pounders
Sticking with my Old Frothingslosh.
They do seem perfect for each other. I always called Corona "Mexican Budweiser".
