Very tempted but Mrs. Sicle and I will be in Sarasota
damn I forgot. Sold out
holy shit i didn't even realize this was happening
I just embarrassed myself with this post
You mean....Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz at the Meyerhoff
10pm show added.
Tickets go on sale at 12pm.
dammit I had lower center aisles but clusterfucked the robot thing and then got a call. lol@me
Yeah this thing was sold out by the presale. There was nothing available at 10 am.
Last time he came around he played Merryweather. Much smaller venue.
I had tickets like 5 years ago but ended up going on vacation. Instead of having someone handle the ebaying, I took the tickets with me. "Overnight" from the post office in the middle of Death Valley NP is minimum 2 days which was kind of funny. Sold for like 4x face though. Really hope to find a decent seat this time, I hear he is ridiculous and filthy.
His standup is very good. I actually wasn't expecting much when we went last time because he probably has little time to write material, but he killed.
yeah working 4 days a week 35 weeks per year is rough
A lot more goes into a daily, er, show than you'd think. Especially when I imagine he's using his best stuff on the show instead of saving it for these one or two-off stand up nights.
If all the podcasts I listen to are right, developing a 60-90 minute standup routine is probably the 4th most difficult thing ever accomplished by man.
There are tons of tickets left for the late show. I just assumed it was sold out after I fucked up
Parking for that is going to be a clusterfuck though with the few local garages filled with early show people. Better to get there early and get hammered at Brewer's Art or something until showtime.
yeah I went to the late Louis CK there last year and it was a fucking nightmare.
Went to the 10 pm show. It was great.
Also thrilled I parked on the street.
Sounds awesome, Yeah, I've never had trouble parking around there. There are a ton of garages nearby and street parking if you're lucky. City Cafe is a decent place to burn some time in that area.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
