Asking a girl on a date under 35 is a horrible move. I've been told they get nervous and it's awkward for the first date. To serious. I prefer meeting women through mutual friends or sports teams. Kickball works well.
Pic Sigs are for losers.
Less Manti Te'o thread posting and more Sheep answering!
this is dead on
U don't have to be interesting. Just ask her about her. Then playfully make fun of her.
Nah, women love that shit. If you have confidence, a phone call is no big deal. Just be lighthearted.
You could just do it, go, and not be awkward on the first date. If you're normal and interesting, she shouldn't feel or be awkward.
EDIT: That's not to say that the kickball/rec league stuff doesn't have to come in to play. I used to feel girls out that way first, chat 'em up on game nights for a couple weeks and then ask them out in person or over the phone.

pretty much just always a good idea to keep stalkers from tracking down your date
Just tweet at them with cutesey hashtags
I just texted the girl I met up with last night. Let's play a game! Will I (a) get no response or (b) get the old "you're a nice guy and I'm glad we met but I'm just not feeling it" routine?
hold on she just texted me to ask how to respond to you without being rude. brb
I read this as you texted her "let's play a game!"
and come on you've got to at least give yourself a chance for a third option...
I never get option b, I always just get "I'm so busy this week!" until I give up
I like this game idea. Let me try one: who has less confidence with women, (a) Leafy, (b) Hogie, or (c) aschaefe?
She just moved last weekend, so she's got a perfect excuse built in already.
I'm in the exact same boat. Since I started online dating, every first date was a dinner. Last night's was the first one where I just went out for drinks. I think that set-up is more awkward than taking a girl a girl you've never met to dinner for the first date.
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
C. How do you feel about Wicca?
Yeah seriously. LOL at a girl actually being honest and saying they're just not feeling it. Excuses are way more fun for them.
I went out on a date a couple weeks ago where I picked her up and we got some dinner. She was surprised that I picked her up and by the restaurant.
I think she was like 26 or something, anyway, you could tell she wasn't used to it at all.
The first girl I met from online dating actually said almost exactly that.
would you prefer the "I'm not feeling it" text right away?
it sucks to send or receive that text, but IMO it's better than being strung along, cancelled on, "busy but maybe next time," etc.
People only pursued 'traditional' courtship 50 years ago because online dating didn't exist. If it did, people would do it. Online dating has been pretty awesome IMO. I love being able to choose from a menu, start with email / text, move to flirty email / sext to make sure she's down, then move to date / banging. Rinse and repeat.
Not a jack ass. I am a 4 star poster on RCMB - spartanfan48413
Coincidently tomorrow I am going on a second date with a woman that I met through match.com. Our first "date" after exchanging a few emails was the casual weeknight dinner. She offered to split the check but I wouldn't hear of it. I like her so I hope I don't fuck it up tomorrow.
I had a girl tell me she really liked me, but decided she wanted to focus on her acting aspirations. I told her that I understood her tough choice, but that she would be disappointed by either decision. I didn't get a text back after that.
