I really don't think it matters much, given the choices.
Not a lot because it doesnt matter who gets elected
r/politcs would be glorious if Obama loses
Well this is going to sound like an OWG answer, but I would easily live with a losing season from all of my teams if the election rolled the way I want it to. I can live with crushing losses if I think my kids had a brighter future.
It's funny, my father and a few other older relatives of mine are convinced that the world will end if Obama wins again. It's all they talk about.
Something to think about: Under Obamacare, Hogie will be able to get the hospital help he needs from his face-slashing after we get the Harrisons.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
Looking at the election through a Terps prism creates a much tougher choice than looking at the policies and personalities of the two candidates.
If Obama wins, Edsall will pay more in taxes. He'll have less money and maybe some of that salary will go to a less evil person, like a ruthless middle eastern dictator.
If Romney wins, wealthy Terps donors might have more money in their pockets to contribute to an Edsall buyout fund.
Choosing ______ championship over 'your' choice for POTUS winning, is like choosing a donut now to lose a leg tomorrow.
Way to keep things in perspective.
if you believe the wacko conspiracy theorists its Obama's 3rd term that will really set things alight.
Who wins the election doesn't matter because the world will end on December 21, 2012.
Are you wearing a tinfoil hat right now?
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
See, these are the kind of responses I get when posing a question like this outside of this board (to what I call "normal people"). I still think I'm right though and at least it looks like many of you agree.
What if it's a really good donut, or a really bad leg?

you just blew my fuckin' mind!
Your answer suggests that you think it's crazy to care who wins the election. Given the importance that the grown ups give to presidential elections, it suggests that you're not a grown up. That's okay, some people aren't...but it's unfortunate.
this reads like Shooter McGavin posted it.
do you eat pieces of shit for breakfast?
For a Terps basketball national title, I would even let Rick Santorum be President for 18 minutes.

SATerp's slow but steady mental breakdown is a great development, but I'd much rather have the twins thankyouverymuch.

I mean, one of them wants to take away all of my money, the other one wants to take away all of my porn. No chance I'm voting for someone who wants to do either. Mmmmm...Twix...
I care pretty deeply about politics and I'm not ashamed of that...
...but I'd do amazingly absurd and irrational things for various types of Terps-related successes.
I would go back for 8 years of GW Bush for a repeat Terps success 2001 - 2009.
I take elections much more seriously than sports for two reasons:
1) They only come around every two or four years, which makes the hype and the significance all that much greater than a sporting event, and you can't beat the media coverage. Also, YOU get to decide who wins, and YOU can actually go out and campaign or just talk to friends and family and maybe actually influence the outcome. You can't do that with sports.
2) I'll accept that at the end of the day there probably isn't a pubic hair of difference no matter who wins any given election, but even if that difference is fifty cents in the price of gasoline, a few hundred dollars of taxes you pay or don't pay, one family member that gets a job or loses one, or a trillion less debt for your kids to repay for our sorry asses, it's still more measurable than a game that involves 5 or 9 or 22 assholes you never will meet, IMO.
I care much more about question 7 passing.
Don't let West Virginia advertising fool you! Question 7 is good for Maryland and bad for West Virginia. Plus there's poker!
