Big Bang Theory is also seeing a similar ratings boost after hitting syndication. Then again unlike himym it's never been close to cancelation
Big Bang Theory is sooooo bad.
CBS sitcoms are unwatchable in general.
I don't know what you mean, but it had the cadence of a joke.
Great episode last night. Loved the Dave Coulier cameo with the Bob Saget joke.
That was finally a solid episode, although I still feel like I'm forcing myself to watch it each week.
Cut. It. Out.
I heard it was actually funny last night. I'll have to watch the DVR tonight.

Yeah, I'm 19.
last night saw us putting the show in our season pass
Very funny episode tonight. Glad to know the writers aren't just mailing it in every week.
Loved the Lily and Ralph Macchio scenes
Past few weeks have been funny so there is hope for next year.
Kind of like the party itself, i wasn't loving the episode at first. But then it got awesome and i loved it.
Loved the sequence with Ted and Marshall about who Barney would choose as collateral.
still no mom?
Probably in two episodes.
Will be interesting to see how this season ends, given the end of the last episode and the face we've already seen everyone at the Barney/Robin wedding.
Could they possibly drag out the meeting of the mother to next season? We know he sees her after the wedding from the first episode this season so presumably this season ends there but I've heard nothing about which actress will play her.
My guess is that the season ends at the wedding, Ted looking up and seeing her face. Cut to credits.
Could there be a time jump between the finale and next season? Marshall and Lily are supposed to be Italy for a year, so I don't see that working unless they do the patented sitcom trick of having them go over only to have something stupid happen and they're back in NY after 2-3 episodes.
Also I've long-held that the final scene of the series is Saget finally saying "...and THAT, kids, is how I met your mother" and the kids are fast asleep on the couch. This really should've been the final season. If they're going to stick to "the mother doesn't appear until the last episode" I have no idea how they're going to drag this out. We'll see.
24-style final season where the entire season takes place during the wedding?
4 years ago should have been the final season.
But it doesn't make any sense to just meet the mother and have the show end right then. So we meet the mother but then we think, "well there she is, but who the fuck is she?"
I always figured there'd be a full season after meeting the mother. Which would be enough time to get to know her to the point where we realize that she is better than all the other girls Ted dated. I'm guessing it either ends with Ted proposing or the wedding itself. I hope it's the former, otherwise it may drag on too much.
And while we may lose the anticipation factor of waiting to see who the mother is, the show survived because of its comedic value. Keep some funny storylines going and it should be alright.
Hiding the baby has made the show better. And I cant get enough laser tag sequences. I read or saw somewhere that NPH did laser tag to audition for the show.
There will be a full season after meeting the mother. That's almost a certainty. We are days away from the wedding where he meets her, unless you do a 24 style season, there's no way to drag that out into a full season.
Jason Segal isn't back for next season (unless something changed) so them going to Italy makes sense.
