I can't believe how unfazed most of these people are. I think the reactions would be much more entertaining on worldstarhiphop.
Should've watched Deep Throat instead.
According to a tweet I saw it didn't explode too far from an active nuclear missile base
this is how resistance: the fall of man started
Yea, looks like that report was unfounded.
I was really amazed at the nonchalant attitude of people, as well.
The fact that they said non-technogenic origin probably has the conspiracy theorists going nuts.
Omg, this is the bad dude from Transformers. I thought it was just a movie...
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
Part of the meteor's trail captured by a weather satellite.
This might be the most amazing video I've ever seen (from that article).
Holy shit, Russia is a terrible place.

Yeah, but I was digging the techno music in the OP.
From a link in that story, WTF Russia?
Results in education were similar: 51 percent of respondents who had interactions with kindergartens said a bribe had been asked of them,
Now I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon figuring out what this is.
It doesn't matter how fast the meteor was moving. You don't catch it from behind, you intercept its path.
That's pretty common in most of the third-world. (Although we don't apply to kindergarten in the US, think of it as applying to pre-school or prep-school here.) In many countries, you have to apply to kindergarten to get into a good K-12 school. Except that instead of the merits of your child's candidacy, the determinations are made based on bribes.
i would be freaking out if i saw that in the sky.

Yeah, but those systems are designed to ID and intercept ICBMs. The fastest go ~7 km/s. Could they have gotten the warning and intercepted the meteor in time? I guess, but it just doesn't seem plausible.
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
A meteor injures over 1000 Russians and this is the best thread title we can come up with?
so nobody died? or are the Russians just withholding info
Oddly enough, the only fatalities were political dissidents and journalists critical of the Putin government. It's rare for a meteor to cause a body to become riddled with bullets, but according to the Russian state press it can happen every so often.
Everyone can relax...Yakov Smirnoff is safe in Branson, MO
I hear meteors can cause polonium poisoning.
Yeah that was another weird thing was the meteor caused all these old KGB guys to get stabbed in their legs with umbrellas. I'm sure nothing will come of it.
