NAZI's say stuff.
Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), a member of the Democratic Party’s leadership in the House of Representatives, suggested to Jason Mattera at a Feb. 13 women’s rights rally that plans for an assault weapons ban and private-sales background checks were only the beginning of a broader gun control agenda extending to handguns as well.
The point is not so much who said it, but the words themselves:
"The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it."
Blackmore says situations like this are why he supports Wisconsin’s concealed carry law, and the rights of gun owners.
“We do good things. Not all of us are bad or crazy gun nuts. There are good people,” Blackmore said.
The West Allis police chief says these types of situations really are judgement calls for gun owners. While they don’t encourage this behavior, they appreciate citizens watching out for each other as long as they do it legally and are willing to accept the consequences.
WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- A Marine Corps veteran was able to stop a man early Tuesday, March 12th from nearly kicking a woman to death. It happened near 102nd and Lincoln, and Wisconsins concealed carry law made his efforts possible. Charlie Blackmore was driving home from work at 4:00 a.m.
Clown like Bloomberg just want it so the elite can be safe and the rest fend for themselves....with that said I'm not a huge fan of armed cops in school. Daily it seems cops shoot someone by accident, but I'm not necessarily against it either
Cue up the Pete Townsend " I was just doing it for research defense" excuse.
The husband of Gabrielle Giffords, who with his wife is a top campaigner for curbs to military-style weapon ownership, has drawn criticism for buying an assault rifle in Arizona, a purchase he said meant to highlight the need for gun control.
Former astronaut Mark Kelly, who with Giffords founded a new lobbying group this year to curb gun violence, said it took only "a matter of minutes" to complete the background check for the AR-15 assault weapon he purchased at a gun shop in Tucson.
"Scary to think of people buying guns like these without a background check at a gun show or the Internet," he wrote in a posting on his Facebook account. "We really need to close the gun show and private seller loop hole."
the really stupid part is "it took only "a matter of minutes" to complete the background check"
He had a background check to buy the gun, it just happened to be a automated background check. So he couldn't actually buy the gun without a background check.
So, Kelly's arguing that background checks should be slow and inefficient? Damn, he's thinking like a government employee.
Maybe he was trying to prove his lack of mental capacity?
I imagine that a background check on a guy that the govt trusted to fly billion $ spacecrafts would take considerable longer than just a few minutes.
So this is going to be interesting.
The teenager had been drinking, and his friends drove him to his home in Sterling at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, law enforcement officials said. But instead of walking into his house on the quiet cul-de-sac, they said, the teen entered a similar-looking red brick home in the same block.
Inside, the startled homeowner confronted the teen, authorities said, before shooting and killing him. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office described the shooting as a homeowner killing an unknown intruder, although officials released few details about the shooting.
It will be interesting, and it is tragic, but as I say: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Loudon DA is going to have a mess on his hands.
How so? Virginia has to have some form of castle law right?
They very well might, I don't know. Have to hope there's no follow up form the neighbor. I think the shooter packed up a bunch of stuff and has left temporarily.
Premier gun show....
Alison Haislip goes to Oklahoma and discharges the heavy artillery from the Oklahoma Full Auto Shoot and Trade Show.
FYI, this auction site is awesome. But this gun is unbelievable.
This impressive Kentucky rifle was once part of the Stagecoach Museum collection and is pictured in the book behind the rear sight. The rifle has brass furniture including a patch box on the right side of the buttstock. The shadow cheekpiece on the left side of the buttstock has a brass star inlay. The rifle also has a brass tipped ramrod. The famous Stagecoach Museum of Shakopee, Minnesota, housed a collection of firearms spanning 400 years of history and was a life long project of Ozzie and Marie Klavestad. The museum was a popular tourist attraction and the most famous firearms in the collection included guns owned by Billy the Kid and Annie Oakley. The museum closed in 1996.

This is one of our clients. http://tracking-point.com/ Ridiculous firing & optics system based on missile locking technology from fighter jets. Even noobs can hit targets from 1000+ yards. Only $20k to get in on one.
There is a gun show tomorrow at the Frederick fairgrounds. I'm thinking of getting an AR before the new legislation kicks in. Anyone have one?
Your'e likely gonna get reamed at a gunshow these days. Your best bet is to shop them online for brand and price. Supply and price have improved over the last month, but they are nowhere near what they were 5 months ago.
I bought my Colt SP6920 on line a year ago for about $1050, and I could have sold it a few months ago for $2500. I think they can be had again online for about $1400, but from what I've heard, gunshow vendors are still gouging pretty hard.

I bought a pistol this summer at Bass Pro (Arundel Mills). Had to do finger prints and wait 7 days. So I'm not sure what the "new" legislation is from MOM and co. over in Annapolis wrt fingerprinting, unless it applies to ammunition as well.
Lol, my dad just bought a pistol and has waited over a month and half for his fingerprint and background check. Shit is ridiculous right now...
Going to the North Beach VFD Gun Bash today....they are giving away over 50 guns, so hoping to win a few.
For a while anything I buy will be off private sellers....at least till I move out of MD. Not going to pay a lot of money and wait a month or more
