Loved it, I think it's gonna be excellent. I think it's going to make Lena Dunham into a star
I just embarrassed myself with this post
I have never seen more positive advance reviews of any show, ever.
The preview they showed last night looked hilarious...definitely something I want to watch.
"lets play the quiet game ok?"
It was decent, but did not live up the the pre hype from people like Sepinwall, etc. I'll give it another few weeks.
really smart and funny
This the apatow project?
Since they usually get a look at the first 4-6 episodes and watch them in a row it's hard to get a read on the hype. That's a very different feel from watching something week to week.
Allison Williams is gorgeous. That's all I have to add and she's Brian Williams (nbc news) daughter
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
The writing on this show is a little too hip and full of itself...it detracts from the believability. There are moments of humor, but nothing that makes me truly laugh. Ultimately the worst offense to me is that the characters are all just not likable.
Looks like something chicks would like. Don't plan on watching. Checked out Veep last night. Was meh.
I find the show funny but at this point I pretty much despise every character. I mean, am I really supposed to sympathize with the poor girl who has been living in NY on her parents dime who is now being cut off? Oh no! Poor thing!
I did like, "Will you get a condom?"..."Ummm, I'll consider it."
That made me lol
"The biggest losers in life are people correcting message board grammar . Fact not opinion"
I think that's kind of the point. This episode wasn't as good as the first, but I think I read either ep 3 or 4 is very strong.
Did love the MIke Birbiglia cameo
I assumed this was insta-canceled since it doesn't come up on my guide or search. Is it any good?
Looks like Jorma Taccone makes an appearance soon so I will stick around at least until that episode.
I don't hate it.
Yeah I definitely don't think you're supposed to like the characters and feel bad for a girl who gets cut off by her parents. I watched the show last night and thought it was great. The scene at the end where she's talking about aids was hilarious.
Really enjoy it.
The second episode was MUCH better than the pilot.
That was my thought, but admittedly I am an old white guy. It felt like the dialogue was written by the female Aaron Sorkin.
She doesn't fit Hollywood's star model, so I doubt she will ever be a bankable actress. She will get lots of roles playing the funny friend of the hot star.
Liked the second episode alot. I'm hooked. I LOVE the dude she is hooking up with. He's hilarious.
Its really confusing to me why this show is popular. Its filled with the self-indulgent, cynical-without-being-interesting assholes I try to avoid talking to at parties. I am not positive any character actually enjoys life. Has anyone smiled or laughed at any point in two episodes. I guess that's the point, but why do you want to watch that?
I think it's Internet popular but not actually popular.
I watched the first two episodes.. I consider it a female version of "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Not bad.
I get what you are saying, but that really is the point...the show is about a bunch of girls who take themselves WAY too seriously in a completely absurd situation. It's that twenty-something conundrum of coming out of college thinking you know it all and being completely naive.
Was the brit chick ever really pregnant, or is she just a sociopath?
Also, the interview scene from this episode killed me.
Allison Williams is very attractive?
