I picture Gary riding around with Eric Hayes through the streets of LA Training Day style.
They happen upon Ekene Ibekwe letting off rounds in a makeshift firing range in an alley behind his house. Shell casings litter the ground but the target remains unblemished.
"Man fuck dis gun cuh. Shit broke"
Gary and Eric just keep driving.

SLT6308 gets an upvote. Big improvement over the Mark I.
Gary makes Eric Hayes drink bourbon laced with LSD. Eric wakes up in Portland, Oregon next to Terrence Ross's mom.
Gary and Eric Hayes attend a barbecue at Greivis Vasquez casa. Gary decides he wants Eric handling the bulk of the grilling duties. Everyone in the party shakes their head in disbelief.
Gary stood slack-jawed, hands on his hips and rage bubbling up from his soul and manifesting itself as capillaries of sweat meandering towards his collar.
Jimmy, his sometimes-partner and a former Baltimore cop who most just called McNulty, had an inkling of what would come next. "Fuck. Motherfuck. Fuckin' A", he almost silently muttered in anticipation.
Then, with the precision of a spinning top ready to collapse off its axis, Gary whipped around to face Jimmy, his words seemingly preceding his arrival.
"His mom's fucking car broke down? Really? Fucking really!!?!??!?! Who the hell drives from Cleveland anyway. This is total bullshit. I finally have a solid lead in this case - the big man himself coming to meet me - and this crap pops up. Godddaammmmiitt Jimmy, what the hell is wrong with you! How the fuck does this happen???!!!?? This is a damned conspiracy!"
Jimmy sat stone-faced, somehow looking earnest and invisible at once. "What the fuck did I do?"
In this week's episode, Gary is asked to locate a suspected arsonist who burnt down a dorm kitchen. When told that the suspect may have frosted tips and multiple hickeys, Gary immediately centers his search on the grimy Ocean City nightlife scene. Unbeknownst to Gary, the real culprit is someone who has quietly sat mere feet from him for hours at a time.
"Kathy Worthington has never solved a case!" Gary proclaimed angrily.
Ibekwe would definitely use the unorthodox "Menace II Society" style shooting technique.
The case actually goes unsolved, as the culprit was a young boy at a local Baltimore High School who went by the name "Brid Killa."
SLT would definitely be the technical director on this project.
NYCTerp05: i guarantee you my child won't turn out gay
Gary never was able to overthrow the "Blueblood Mafia" nationwide recruiting syndicate...... and he never really tried.
The medical examiner stood over the sheet-covered body and turned to face Gary.
"You sure you're ready for this?" he asked.
"Yeah, do it," said Gary. It was his former player, after all, and someone had to do the damn ID.
As the top of the sheet was drawn back a look of surprise came over Gary's face. Shane Clark? What the hell?
[i]Gary raced out of the room without another word. There was still a chance Sterling Ledbetter was out there somewhere. Out there and alive.

Crofton walks into Gary's office and confesses to the murder of Debbie Yow.
Gary opens up his Unsolved Cases file drawer, slams it shut, gives a fist pump and calls it a day.
Gary is about to leave for the annual March detectives convention for the third straight year, but first he has to solve a campus-wide parking epidemic that has torn the school apart. But when his leads send him straight to a member of his own department, will he notify IAD or are his loyalties too strong? Special Guest Stars: Exree Hipp, Duane Simpkins and Mario Lucas.
[Witness: Gary Williams, NCAA PI]
Prosecutor: State your name.
Gary: Williams. Gary Williams.
Prosecutor: And what's your occupation?
Gary: I'm an NCAA private investigator.
Prosecutor: And what does an NCAA PI do?
Gary: We chase down compensated recruits.
Prosecutor: I see and uh, anyone in this room ever a compensated a recruit?
Gary: Yeah he is, right over there --- Parrish. Parrish Brown.
Prosecutor: How long was his commitable offer overdue.
Gary: Senior season, late May. We don't call 'um recruits after that long.
Prosecutor: What do you call them?
OMG I missed that one
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
Worthington, the head of the College Park PD, was seated at his desk and motioned Williams to enter his office. Gary sat down.
"Williams, your work has been down recently. You haven't apprehended anyone in the past two years, and you are spending an awfully large amount of time at the golf course"
A fire built within Gary.
"I'll have you know," his voice rising to a crescendo, "I am the only PI in this department to never charge a criminal incorrectly, and my crew has never once lost a squad car or traffic cone to a random bullet. I'm the only guy in this department to never be listed on the bottom half of PIs. That's gotta count for SOMETHING."
With that, Gary fist bumped his chair to the ground and walked out as the chief looked on in perplexed astonishment.

He was looking for a star, someone he could trust when the bullets were flying, a man who could be his partner...what he found was Frank Barnes.
Why does Debbie have a metal leg? Is she a cyborg?
In the 2007 story, make sure the Butler did it...
I like the concept but there hasn't been one storyboard yet in the first 3 pages.
flex I have to admit when I saw that you had responded to this thread I thought another epic post was in store
