Can't decide between:
"Joey, you got a yardage?"
"Hell yeah, you know I'll pull my dick out."
u/v due to my jealousy.
get involved in the gambling, post about that, and i'll get even more jealous.
I think the gamblers want to break my knee caps, struck again today for huge payday by winning it all.
anyone go to the PGA show down in Orlando this past week?
Anyone hit the R1 yet? Golf Galaxy is having their launch event tonight at midnight, so I'll probably hit that up.
I got a bunch of gift cards for birthday/Christmas, so I'm firmly in driver-shopping mode.
Anyone see Phil almost break 60 at TPC Scottsdale today? I was following online at work, apparently his birdie putt on 18 lipped out, would've gotten him to a 59. He fucked up the scoring for my fantasy golf league though, what a dick.
It didn't just lip, it completely horseshoed.
curious to get your thoughts. based on the ads and stuff i've read on the internet and in magazines, it seems like the manufacturer's have gotten drivers about as good as they're going to get them. now they're concentrating their R&D on fairway woods.
yeah that was wild. Morning Drive is going over it right now; soul crushing.
I have a video swing analysis scheduled for tomorrow; looking forward to seeing what i can work on to get more consistent with ball striking.
I thought it was OK, but not great, when compared to other new drivers. I definitely gained some yardage off of it (and got a dozen free Lethals to show for it!), but I like both the Cobra Amp Cell and the Callaway Razr Fit Extreme far better. I was spraying a bit more than I was with the Callaway/Cobra. It's been a while since I've tested the 913, but from memory, I like the 913 better as well.
Now I just need to go (at some time other than midnight) to make a decision between those 3. I was really surprised how much I liked the Amp Cell. If you can get past the colors, it's a great club for $100 less than many of its peers.

So my video swing / fitness analysis was eye opening. Contrary to what I thought, my swing isn't a total turd, but my posture sucks and I don't keep my back flat at the top. I also struggle with rotation and weight transfer into the backswing evenly. Bottom line, I need to work on flexibility (hello youtube yoga) and lower body stability. I'll get a 5 week training regimen via Titleist Performance Institute and go from there.
I'm playing Renditions later in February; any tips?
Play your yardage to the fronts of those greens unless it's an exceptionally wet day. If it's a 142 middle pin, play it 135.
Any one know if any courses are open today in MoCo?
I was psyched to play today, we had our greens open yesterday and I didn't know about this snow comming. Drove by Falls Road around 11:30 it looked playable except for the greens still covered, maybe they will melt soon?
Played my first Fl round yesterday in Sarasota, it had poured the day before and course was soft. Had never played it before. Played it at 6700 yds. Shot -1 on the front highlighted by a 3 hole stretch w/ 2 putts, parring a 540 yd par 5 after hitting tee ball ob and holing a 50 yd sand wedge from the fairway, so that was a 35 on the front with a 2 shot penalty. +4 on the back that would have been +2 had my opponent told me about a hidden pond 250 yds off the tee. On the 9th hole I had hit my 2nd shot 3ft for birdie and my opponent was in a bunker about 20 yds from the flag. As we walked to the green he said "I think I need to hole this to win the press" I was giving him a stroke on that hole. He holed it!

i'm playing golf tomorrow. it's going to be in the 30s and raining. i'm only going to play nine holes, but it's just been too long since i played. i can't help myself.
Shouldn't the pond only cost you one stroke, not 2?
predictions on what happens with the anchored putter ban? the pga tour put the usga in a pretty tough spot. the USGA loses a lot of credibility if the tour doesn't follow their rules on an issue this obvious. most people are going to do what the guys on TV do. what do clubs do for their tournaments if the pga tour allows anchoring, but the USGA doesn't?
Bad lie off the drop
2More: Got my new Titleist 3 wood yesterday, it's 13.5 and I got the Diamana shaft I have in my driver and had it "tip-stiffed to make it stiffer than an S, like the shaft on the 1st club you got from me. I got the 86gram shaft and I think that was a mistake, I should have just gotten that shaft in 75 grams and got it X flex, that wold be like what I have in my 13 degree Taylor Made 3 wood that I keep going back to. Last night I kept playing par 5's and would hit both my old 3 and my new 3 to see the difference. The pro told me when I ordered the new one that i was going to have trouble getting it up in the air, and I did have that problem at first. I finnaly got it to fly better when I choked up a bit and swung harder. It does go further then my Taylor made, but I mostly have a bit of a cut on it. Was thinking maybe you and I go to a range and putz with our Titleist stuff?
Ready to sell it already?!?! I have a 13.5 910 and I am surprised by how low I hit it compared to my several generation ago 15 degree even after adjusting the loft higher. It is a lot heavier so I wonder if that is the issue. I'd prefer if mine was a bit lighter as well.
I'm game to test our stuff, but Mrs 2more is due with a little girl tomorrow. My schedule may be tough the next couple weeks...
The PGA guy was reluctant to say they would defy the USGA.
I'm having golf dreams pretty regularly. It's time for spring.
Me too, except that I'm worried because whenever I go to the range, I can't seem to do anything right. I'm hitting all of my irons too high and am therefore losing distance, and I seem to be cutting across any wedge shot I hit and just slicing them off low and to the right, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I need to go get some lessons (that I already paid for in a package, so whatever), I can't figure it out for the life of me. Or maybe hitting on grass would be better...
There are times when I go to a turf range and cannot hit an iron for the life of me. I don't know what it is. I do the exact same thing you described with the low slice. No problems out of the course; typically mid 80s.
I'm heading to Rum Pointe next weekend. 36 Fri, 36 Sat. Weather looks pretty good. 51 Fri, 54 Sat.
