The only real fight I've ever been in occurred at Ropewalk. I witnessed my friend almost murder a guy (who had double popped collars) by trying to throw him over the 2nd floor railing near the pool table.

Ropewalk is where I saw my friend's little brother throw up next to the pool tables on his 21st birthday, then we proceeded to watch a girl in skimpy attire slip in the vomit and fall parallel to the ground in it...good times.
Garden Restaurant used to be open at 3am. We'd go after we got off and BYOB, Tom would give us styrofoam cups to put our beers in. They changed owners and stopped opening late, haven't been back recently... except to buy lotto tickets when it hits $200+ million
Garden Restaurant is solid if your looking for a cheap, simple, diner style meal. Rallo's Restaurant up on Fort by the Shoppers was also good diner style breakfast, but google says its closed now.
Hersh's is fine, but theres an abundance of "gourmet" pizza places in the neighborhood and I was pissed when Rub closed. They had good bbq.
Big Matty's Diner opened where Rallo's closed. Never tried Rallo's (they seemed to have weird hours) but Big Matty's kind of sucks. There's no legit breakfast options in Fed Hill (I'm not counting Sam's Bagels). It's a travesty.
Light St Cafe and Spoons are both good breakfast options. They may not blow you away but I'm always satisfied with both.
Yeah, Eggs Migas at Spoons is money.
I've had shockingly good food at Mother's for brunch.
All this discussion is just making me want to go back to Thai Arroy but I won't be able to until at least the weekend.
More discussion than I anticipated, which is good

JDawg is a looser now. Fed hill is for lossers.
spoons has an awesome cheap beer list
Yeah, I love the breakfast at Spoons. I seem to recall a decent cheap breakfast in the market but don't quote me on that. Speaking of The Wire locations, the Greek's hangout is about a mile from me in Canton on Clinton Street.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Steve's on the Light Street corner? I think TheRedArmy mentioned that to me when we were in their once.
I must say that chillin at Nick's in there with a big beer or two quickly became a favorite spot
What's your goto for Chinese? Mind you, Baltimore has to have the worst Chinese food scene of any city in the country, but there are options. I've been doing Sun Hing because I've been lazy, but I wouldn't mind delivery from a more legit spot i.e. - fried rice that wasn't just white rice with soy sauce and a few vegetables.
Fed hill places I like and haven't seen mentioned: byblos, cross street kabobs, and a newer place called fat larrys has real good subs
Seriously, Chinese food in this city is so bad. Ding How in Fells is decent but that doesn't really help you. Also, slightly off topic but Zhongshang on Park Ave. has decent dim sum. Yeah, JDawg, that's it. Nothing great but decent, cheap, quick and like $1 for a large cup of coffee...always a very blue collar crowd the few times I've been. Yeah, the market is a good place to start the night with a decently priced big beer or two.

Went to Pop Tacos in Cross St Market and got the tacos....lots of food for like $8 (plus a drink brought it to less than $10 with drink) and they were really good. I'd recommend it for something different. The breakfast stuff looks delicious too.
Not nearly enough local young people in there btw, they're missing out. One of the butchers hooked us up with a pork shoulder two weeks ago that was on point as well.
TheRedArmy and I have regular appearances there on Saturday mornings. They may start serving some Korean-infusion type food soon to go with the burgers and stuff, he said the one they were giving out last week as a sample was really good.
Delia Foley's Wings of Destiny- great wings, or greatest wings in the city?
So far it looks like 2 of the three things I mentioned earlier in this thread were either blatant lies (I'm not the source, promise!) or just haven't figured their way out...Harborque is still standing, and Social's is still Social's.
However, I have a hunch that Social's is struggling, because when I went there a couple of Saturdays ago, it was 2 for 1 anything after 10PM.
Looks to be that Crossbar, the new spot being worked on by Ryleigh's people is going to be your exclusive home for all Bundesliga action. With Abbey and Ryleighs being home to some EPL action, we need No Way Jose to become the home for La Liga and...uh, how about Stalking Horse for Serie A?
I have no idea how they make money on happy hour
Join us Monday – Saturday from 5pm to 10pm for:
■1/2 priced wine by the bottle
■1/2 priced wine by the glass
■1/2 priced salads
■$3 Three Olives drinks
■$3 draft beers
■$5 Stoli martinis
And then ALL drinks are BOGO on Fridays and Saturdays.
A little late on this but The Hill closed a couple of months ago and is re-opening under new ownership. Maybe this was posted in the Bmore restaurant thread. I saw an article about it recently and ironically, literally every complaint about the previous place by the new ownership is exactly what I thought when I went there. It's a shame they are changing the name. I really like it, but understand why they have to do it.
Spoons has decent breakfast, but the few times i've been, it's taken
I just embarrassed myself with this post
what were your complaints about The Hill?
Harborque is moving into Kirby's/Szechuan next to C&R Pub. Their current spot is being developed soon
