A man gave a cop the finger a few years back, and got arrested for it. The courts ruled that he should not have been arrested and that you are allowed to give a cop the finger.
I personally think the cop went on a power trip with this. Big surprise there.
A New York man arrested after he gave the finger to a police officer can sue police for malicious prosecution, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday, overturning a lower-court decision that deemed the officer's response reasonable.
Another case of disorderly conduct being used way too broadly.
I got arrested for flipping off a cop a few years ago... But I was jaywalking at the time, so that was the real arrestable offense.

Don't shoot at them, that is VERY BAD. Flip them the bird (if that is your inclination), that is not VERY BAD.
Peeing on an electric fence isn't illegal either, but that doesn't mean its a good idea...
