the most frustrating part of this entire show is that MIKE WAS GUS'S BAG MAN. His skillset dictates that he should be doing just what he's doing now, not doing fucking pickups, even if just to school Jesse. That is so far below him.
The baby gnawing on Skyler's bracelet for that entire scene with Marie was killing me. Just going to town on that thing.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
Very interested to see what happens next week. I think they need to come up with something really good to explain why Jesse and Mike are going along with any plan of Walt's at this point. Not saying that they won't, but it's a tough sell. We'll have to move forward to the part where Mike tries to kill Walt or Walt tries to kill Mike pretty rapidly.
Who was Mike listening to on the tapes? I couldn't hear all that well.
Hank. The mics that Walt planted in hank's office.
Thanks, makes sense.
I'm watching right now, just great stuff. Jessie's table manners are classic.
Just caught up. The whole dinner scene made me realize that Jesse has been my favorite character for a while now.
I have an unhealthy obsession with Cranston and Paul winning another set of Emmys this year. I really hope it happens.
The dinner scene was awesome.
You know what's cooler than 5 million dollars? Five billion dollars
Walt has been Jack Bauer like since the first season. There are multiple episodes where he uses his science knowledge do pull off some ridiculous idea in a MacGyver-esque way (homemade thermite, building battery cells in the desert, etc).
Hell, if you want to be a gigantic ass of a nitpicker (which you are), the whole premise of the show is fucking ridiculous and completely unrealistic. It's about a failed scientist turned high school chem teacher that teams up with a moron ex-student and somehow manages to become one of the biggest/most famous drug dealers in the southwest in less than a year. Hell, even the timeline on the show is pretty goof if you think about it (considering the whole show is 1 year of elapsed time thus far). Walt had major chemo and majory surgery and essentially recovered overnight. Jesse had multiple stops in rehab/treatment as well as multiple falls off the wagon. Stop pretending that this show exists in some kind of hyper-realistic universe.
But none of that matters because it's entertaining as hell. Stop with this "lazy writing" nonsense, because it's not. It's you either being a killjoy or trying to be smarter than the people that make the show.
Anyway, you know what's awesome.
And Mike gives the best reaction shots of anyone, ever.
Yeah god forbid anyone criticize something that you like. You act like I've never pointed out anything that you said in the 2nd paragraph.
I've been consistent. Those MacGyver stunts are always my least favorite part of the show. They take away from the tension IMO. It isn't nit picking. Anymore than you complaining, which you have repeatedly, about the plane crash.
I find it hilarious that I completely fabricated a quote, attributed it to ravensterps and no one (INCLUDING raventerps) even questioned it since he might as well have said it and clearly reflected his opinion.
WTF are you talking about?
Agree about Mike. Like I said how can you look at those reaction shots and NOT see George Carlin in there?
Nice work. I saw the quote and tried to find the original to tell him how stupid he was, but figured the board effed something up when I couldn't find it.
I absolutely noticed that and LOL'ed to myself.
well played sir, well played.
Every lie is based in truth.
The way in which it was done doesn't matter, the scene is supposed to show Walt getting his way once again. They have been building his indestructible confidence for a while now. Walt has been on a narcissistic ride and I suppose they are going to drop a bomb on him at some point.
Aaron Paul @aaronpaul_8
Two more episodes to go this season of #Breakingbad and I am terrified for you all to see how it goes down. Get ready for the madness.
I just embarrassed myself with this post
So is it actually a full year between halves?
So what do you make out of the theme of fakes in this episode? Miracle Whip as fake mayo. Fake caviar. Jesse's rant about truth in advertising regarding frozen lasagne that looks so good on the box picture.
I'm trying to figure out how fake meth might be part of Walt's plan, but haven't come up with anything good.
