This is running around FB again today and it always amuses me when people vociferously defend their incorrect answers, so, go!
The equation is 6/6 and everyone thinks the answer is 9.
I'm not funny today. Sorry.
Yeaaa it is 9....
well thank you for explaining how people are getting 6. I could not figure that out. It's horribly wrong but at least I get it now.
wait no I still don't understand what you did there
I mean I see the argument. You do parentheses first.
2(1+2) = 2+4
no you solve inside parens fist.
Parentheses first than go in order...
I still see parentheses.
oh dang ftn is saying 1 not 6. Someone say 6 and explain it to me
Yeah but you already solved them at this point..after its just left to right
and? parens with only one thing in them are just multiplications. The p in pemdas is inside parens. Anyway it doesn't matter, I thought you were sayiing 6
You do whats INSIDE the parentheses first. 2 isnt so it follows the order of operations. 6/2= 3 * 3= 9
Wait....how'd you get 6 from that?
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
Its 9. You get 1 with 6/(2(1+ 2)). Multiplication and division are the same level, so you work left to right and get 9.
I don't really understand how you'd get anything other than 9.
I hate this shit. It's 9. Stop doing it wrong and making me question myself.
