My friends and I have abandoned the new All Good...they went last year but hated everything about it, and it's too far away to reconsider anyway.
So far we have committed to Delfest, Floyd Fest, and are considering Mountain Jam or Gathering of the Vibes.
I know some guys that usually play delfest but I have never managed to go. Is it actually fun?
Not really in the same league as, say, Coachella, but Sweetlife Festival released their line-up this morning. Might interest a few folks. I was thinking of going but not sure the lineup appeals to me that much.

My friend and I are very close to pulling the trigger on Tomorrowland. Gonna try and get tickets when they go on sale worldwide in a week or two then decide from there. Its been a bucket list item for me for a couple years now and my clock is running out, a thirty-five year old or whatever doesn't belong at these types of things.

It's not nearly as intense as the bigger name festivals, and is more family-oriented, but all of my friends are big fans of it.
Distance and weather are always big factors in deciding which ones to go to, and Delfest is great for both (not in the middle of the summer, and relatively close).
Somebody help me out with reasons not to go to Gathering of the Vibes. There's a sect in our crew that is hell bent on going, and the rest of us think it's an awful trip to make for an oasis-within-ghetto festival.
The headliners at Coachella aren't great every night but the supporting acts are pretty solid each day. Wish I could go.
Will be doing SXSW next month. Nothing else planned at the moment.
New Orleans Jazzfest has a solid lineup every night. If I can swing it, I might go for the second weekend.
I'm doing the second weekend of NO jazz fest for a friend's bachelor party, probably Firefly again (depending on the lineup) and probably lollapalooza.
Floydfest looks pretty good but it's too close to Lolla for me to do both.
I'm likely going to Delfest this year. Great music to distance ratio. GOTV is just not in the cards for me, albeit a good lineup I'm sure.
Frode, tell me a bit more about the new All Good.
I was considering going this year since there's not a lot of great camping festivals in the driving area
I just embarrassed myself with this post
I have a friend that went to Vibes a few years ago and loved it. It's on the beach
From the looks of that video, 35 might be pushing it. It looks like a blast but I have to admit I'm amazed by something that looks like a combo of adult Disneyland and spring break. I'm a little shocked at 3 days of techno house music drawing like that. Either their camera folks did great work or the talent there is incredible.
If you're in the area, by all means go...it's still a good festival, nationally speaking. And I would expect them to learn from last year and improve things.
a combination. Being in Europe probably helps. Saw sooooo much talent at the last festival I was at
this will be my fourth straight year doing both floydfest and delfest. Both are great festivals. Floydfest is a beautiful location and a little more family oriented. I generally like the lineup at delfest a little better and we float the potomac every day while listening to the bands. Plus delfest is BYOB!
Agree on Delfest, I will be going again this year.
Everyone should do themselves a favor and go to ACL Festival at least once. Spend a week in Austin when you go.

Clapton has moved his guitar festival from Chicago to MSG, dates are April 12/13.
Definitely going to this one. The top four are all favorites in the gocaps1 household.
Rooster Walk in Franklin County Va. is the only fest I'm committed to at this point. It's kind of a mini Floydfest, about 1/10 the size, but you can spread out and I'm a big fan of YARN, this years 2 night headliner.
I'm on the fence about Floydfest this year. I've been going on and off since it's inception and I always find something to like but it's been at capacity for the last couple years so I'm waiting for the full lineup to come out before I commit. FWIW, Frode, if you do FF and you are not committed to camping on site, there is a National Park Service campground, Rocky Knob, about 3 miles from the FF gates. It's shaded, quiet at night and has restrooms (no showers). Hopefully it's been fixed this year but the onsite campers had one hell of a time with the shuttle service (4 hour lines) on Sunday afternoon. Don't even think about the festival off site field camping as it's hot as hell that time of year and the sites are in the full sun. Rocky Knob is way better minus having to drive in each day. I always scooter in as there is on site motorcycle parking at the fest which saves having to deal with the shuttle.
yea the lineup at floydfest is not my favorite this year. but its sort of a family tradition, so I'll be going anyway.
Damn, McCartney to Bonaroo.
Frode, Rocks, hokthu and I need to grab a hotdog at the Floyd Country Store this year. Ive heard Parking has changed at FF this year so beware.
Loving that Bonnaroo lineup.
Could have a stronger headliner than Tom Petty (not super wild, but the supporting acts are awesome)
What are you talking about, we had already made plans to crash at your place, we just had not gotten around to asking you.
And parking really needed to change, hopefully for the better.
