Banh Mi bracket, duhr
The Asian Sensation vs the French Classic. Both of these were actually one seeds in at least one committee member's bracket.

Went Croque Monster in a huge upset, Bahn Mi is a joke of a #1 seed.
HOW IS CROQUE MONSIEUR A 16???
because no one eats them
I went with Bahn Mi, but I don't understand how anyone would have put it as a top seed.
Gotta go with croque monsieur
I've literally never heard of croque monsieur before this thread.
(But I voted for it anyway because how the F is Banh Mi a #1 seed? That sounds like hipster Keegs' doing.)
I haven't either and every time I see that I will silently pronounce it "croc monster."
It was his one seed, and mine.
Same, the picture does make it look absurdly delicious though
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
It would have a lot more support if it was just called a hot ham & cheese
Isn't that essentially what a monte cristo is? They just seem kind of like variations of the same thing.
monte cristo is essentially a fried croque monsieur served sugared, with jelly. They should have been combined. And then left out.
I went Banh Mi...and yes, it is overrated as a 1.
Not sure which way to go, but we all know which one seed will be the first to go down.
The monte is some quasi-dessert with all of the sugar and jelly
I didn't realize that a monte cristo had sugar and jelly. I think the only place I had one was at Bentley's and I'm pretty sure that it didn't have sugar and jelly.
Actually, I may be thinking of a monte carlo or something. Bah, I mis-voted.
they call it a monte carlo there, and serve it with syrup. Same thing
It's not a sandwich if you can't eat it (comfortably) with your hands. banh mi
yeah, that is like an open face sandwich. Speaking of which, did meatloaf sammys make the cut?
Banh Mis are great but it may have a hard time as a #1 for the general masses. It's more of a culinary #1 than a mass appeal #1. Plus not everyone gets into the pickled veggies and pate that makes it special.
