  • DC probably isn't a test market. Maryland has been for the spicy chicken sandwich, and the spicy nuggets, so I'm not surprised that it is again.

I drove to Ontario on more than one occasion for CFA goodness when I lived out there. Being back east makes it far too easy to take them for granted.

  • there is one chick-fil-a in NYC hidden away in an NYU dorm. im surprised there arent more. the argument ive heard is that they couldnt afford to be closed one day a week because of the high rent around here, but there are plenty of kosher restaurants that are doing fine.

    NYCTerp is now OCTerp

  • So it is in a dorm? Is it accessible by anybody outside of nyu? No Chik fil a is going to be one of the hardest parts about living in ny.

  • TerpBE's link above is a legit way to make a substitute Chick-Fil-A sandwich. Not impossible to reproduce... quite easy actually. Not as easy as going to the fast food joint, of course. But easier than sitting through that Lisa Kudrow wannabe's fake-flitty act. Just show us how you make the damned recipe, lady. Honestly, of all the "celebrities" to emulate... smh.

I'm probably the most enthusiastic CFA fan on here, save for those with the type of disorder that leads one to actually eat fast food everyday. Now that the CEO has made it abundantly clear that his organization flatly opposes equal rights, I can't sit on the fence anymore. Someday his position will be widely seen as unforgivable prejudice, and I'd rather not have to say that I kept supporting it in any material way out of my own wallet. So fuck Chick-Fil-A right up the ass for opposing gay rights. What a shitty dick that guy is. I won't go there anymore.

Until someone else makes a more delicious fast food chicken sandwich, I'll continue giving Chick-Fil-A my business.

I hate to say it, but I'm with you.

It's one thing to generally give money to charities that take that stance. Its another to actively advocate being a bigot, which is where I feel Chik Fil A is at this point. Its sad, but I agree. Fuck them.

  • I figure that every big business that I deal with probably contributes to some cause or group that I disagree with. The only difference here is people are shining a flashlight on one specific company that contributes to one specific cause. Just because I'm no longer ignorant about Chick-fil-A's agenda doesn't necessarily mean that anywhere else I get food is any better - they just haven't been specifically exposed by a vocal group.

Sure I support gay marriage. But I also support tasty food and polite, competent workers. So I agree with them on 67% of the issues. If people want to boycott, more power to them, but until their food and service drop to the level of other fast food restaurants, I'll continue to enjoy the juicy, delicious bigotry.

No, in recent months and years, they've gone out of their way to point out and basically celebrate it.

    This.

Personally disagree with this anti gay marriage position- but love their delicious food, and absurd levels of competence and friendly demeanor.

As BE said, I'm sure many companies/products I like may have political positions different than I do.
