Breaking Bad Game Thread - civs win

    And really, is that a good reason to vote for me? If I was mafia, wouldn't I have made sure to NOT do that?

    It's a lot easier to hide Day One with a game this size than draw attention to yourself and attempt to escape after the fact.

    I fail to see the difference. It's not like your observation was so profound you couldn't and wouldnt have made it from a desktop. Much more likely an alteration in behavior, good find Toogs

    Mine was the second vote on him, and came early. Duff jumped on for the third vote, which kinda confuses me as well. Oh well, I've got plenty of time to change.

    This post is awful. Smiley's post also very weird for Smiley, and the explanation was even weirderer.

    i know this is going to sound hypocritical coming from me, but there were a lot of votes early on that had many players out front and deacon comes in and puts a single vote on a player and takes off...

    Having played with Deacsfan28 a lot while Knight has only played with him one or two times, I would indicate that more times than not Deacsfan28 actually does the opposite: he draws criticism for being mafia with suspicious play/reasoning. Most of the time when he is mafia he plays things closer to the belt.

    Knight's reasoning is odd.

    I've played with Doofus four or five times. Plenty to have a good read on him.

    For those who don't know, Doofus and Numbers are twins IRL. So expect a healthy amount of them backing each other up.

    For the benefit of those who don't play (here) often:
    If I had a vig hit, I would wait to use it. By day 3 there are going to be some people who clearly need to go. Beads is never a bad vig hit. Depending on their play over the next three Days, sometimes Redwing, tcc, or Jman are good choice if they haven't posted in the game thread other than to vote. Be careful with Redwing though, he can be a huge asset.

    He first round votes me everytime. Unless he just thinks I'm a terrible player that needs to get out, its something that should stop. Auto-first round votes are a trend that need to go away. Its a self serving move, used as a civ to better hide when they are Mafia. That said, you can't make any conclusion from it.

    Toogs' comment wasn't about my observation (which would have been the same either way), but about the lack of posterrhea that accompanied it. I was at home with the family, just checking on the ipad so I usually don't chat for the sake of chatting when I'm on the ipad. Now I'm on my work computer so I am more willing/able to chat it up.

    when i was on a team with him as a civ pairing last game he had no problem stepping out and voting/posting early and often. doesnt necessarily mean that his hit and run vote makes him mafia but its a good place to start.

  • While I see what he was getting at, Duff seemed to be reading a little too much into Raise's early call out on me. I would say that it's strange of Raise to call me "Doofus", but literally everybody calls me that on the Wake boards. Perhaps something to look into, but I think the rationalization by Duff was worse than what Raise did.
