Me and my buddies crossed the wrong side of martin luther boulevard and it was real ugly lookin. We were lookin for a pizza joint and the GPS took us into the wrong neighborhood. Am I correct in saying that west baltimore is a bad area and somewhere around martin luther blvd?

There are good neighborhoods in West Baltimore (Bolton Hill for example). But like almost all nice Baltimore neighborhoods, you can walk a couple blocks and be in the slums.

My GPS takes me through there all the time when I am visiting Baltimore for some reason. They really need to find a politically correct way to add a "avoid bad neighborhoods" button on GPS. It's never really a problem in daytime when it has you sticking to main arteries. But sometimes at night if it takes me off the main drag I get a little panicky.
