Baltimore Question

I have been to Baltimore once in my life and wonder if any of you guys have been to west baltimore? Isnt that the ghetto area? Me and my buddies crossed the wrong side of martin luther boulevard and it was real ugly lookin. We were lookin for a pizza joint and the GPS took us into the wrong neighborhood. Am I correct in saying that west baltimore is a bad area and somewhere around martin luther blvd?

My GPS takes me through there all the time when I am visiting Baltimore for some reason. They really need to find a politically correct way to add a "avoid bad neighborhoods" button on GPS. It's never really a problem in daytime when it has you sticking to main arteries. But sometimes at night if it takes me off the main drag I get a little panicky.

I lived in that area for 3 years while in law school. You'll be fine. I don't recall any good pizza joints in that area, but it's been 10 years or so since I was there.

Technically M&T is west of MLK blvd. But yeah, don't go wandering into the Lexington Terraces.

There are good neighborhoods in West Baltimore (Bolton Hill for example). But like almost all nice Baltimore neighborhoods, you can walk a couple blocks and be in the slums.

If you were there yourself, why are you asking what it is like? wtf? I visited Cabo San Lucas for a week over the holidays and wonder if any of you guys have been south of the border. Is it warm there in the winter?

Bad neighborhood? Baltimore??
And there used to be some fancy pants pizza joint over by Hollins Market. I went to try it out and some brothers knocked on the the window by my head to ask if dat shit was good. Somehow I doubt that place is still around.
