taking vicodin will make it worse. Vicodin causes constipation and right now you are suffering from what is called a "post-operative ileus" which basically means the bowel is stunned by the manipulation of it during surgery and it isn't moving.
It resolves over time (2-5 days for your surgery), just eat light, take some fiber, and boom. Glorious bowel movement in a few days
