It's worth it if you've seen previews or read a description and thought it was something you would enjoy. It was one of the shows (Revenge being another) that I figured I would watch an episode or two and lose interest but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. The ratings for the premiere were very good so assuming they didn't plummet for last night's episode, I'm guessing it'll get a full-season pick-up.

I assume this is about Once Upon a Time?

    If so, thanks.

All I know is that it's from the creators of Lost (I was a fan) and that its about a town of fairy tale characters who are trapped in the real world and don't know it.

    I'll give it a shot.

  • They are making The Firm into a TV show? How the f*** is that going to work?

New Girl is the only new show I watch, I've thrown Happy Endings into the mix too but that's not new new, just newish.

Homeland is fantastic. Boss (on Starz) is pretty good too.

I'm also still watching Once Upon a Time and Revenge... guilty pleasurelicious

  • What did everyone stick with? I'm still on New Girl and Person of Interest, as well as the Chelsea show. Dropped the redhead who remembers everything. What about Luck? I have it on DVR but haven't touched it.

Just Homeland, which turned out to be great. I also stuck with american horror story.

  • Just New Girl for us. I think we liked the Chelsea show but forgot to DVR it and didn't care enough to catch up.

What do people think of Awake starting next week? I think it could be promising.

  • I'm still on New Girl and Broke Girls. I've also picked up Happy Endings thanks to the board. I've heard enough good things about Homeland that I'll try to catch up on it at some point.

Question about Person of Interest (I only watched the pilot): are they developing any type of mythology, or is it simply stand-alone stories a la Law & Order?

  • I like Luck a lot so far. Already picked up for a second season. Make sure you have an hour to sit down and really pay attention because you can get lost very easily.

Definitely not stand alone, although you won't be lost if you jump into an episode. But there are returning peripheral characters and an overall plotline. A little moreso than House, if that works as an example.

  • New Girl has been a nice surprise, just because it's a show that my wife wanted to watch that I thought would be pretty weak, but it's actually really good. The only problem is that they totally whiffed on the black guy character - he has no personality other than "occasionally funny dude who cracks ones liners"; they needed to establish more of a comedic character with him like Jess or Schmidt because his scenes are always pretty bad and you just want to get to the other characters when he is on screen.

Not sure if they do this live but on the "OnDemand" eps they have a little 3 minute explaination of some racing concepts that are helpful after each ep. I like the show but it's so damn dense and Milch is never one to have a dumb n00b character around just so things can be explained.

    New Girl is still great.

I agree with that. They are trying with his ex-player romancing an old jumpoff but its weak.

At any rate, the show should really be called Schmidt and some other people.

  • new girl suffered because the young wayans chose happy endings over it. it was a good choice, though.

I gave this show a second chance thanks to you guys ansd must say it's pretty good. I agree that Schmidt essentialy makes the show. He is hilarious. That dude Nick has the whiniest voice ever, is a whiny bitch and is rarely funny. The goofy, black dude who used to ball in Latvia being presented as a reformed player doesn't work at all.

I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
