2011-12 New TV Shows Thread

With the new fall TV season getting into high gear this week, I thought it would be beneficial to have a thread where we all can discuss/recommend new shows debuting this fall. There are way too many new shows these days, so I think it helps to have the Suque to help us steer clear of the crap.
I've read that most of the new pilots were less than stellar, but there's still a few I'm interested in checking out:
"New Girl" debuts this week on FOX -- I, like many of you, am mildly obsessed with Zooey Deschanel, so I will give it at least a try.
"Terra Nova" has the potential to be a colossal failure, but the idea seems too spectacular not to at least see the pilot.
Next month we have Showtime's "Homeland" (seems to be the consensus best pilot this year), and I have to admit I'm curious enough from the weird promos to check out "American Horror Story" on FX.
That's what's on my radar at the moment. How about yours?

Homeland is the only thing that is going to get a look from me.
BTW, new but already started is The Hour, on BBC America. Really like it so far, I've watched the first 2 episodes, and it's only 6 total for the first season.

You can watch Homeland's pilot online now. The nudity and swearing is censored but if you can stand that its a terrific pilot.

I'm not huge on cop shows, but I feel like Prime Suspect will do okay. NBC has a huge void with L&O basically gone, save for SVU. Nice to see Maria Bello back on something as well.
I'm mildly interested in Person of Interest thanks to Michael Emerson who seems like me may be beautifully cast as well as typecast at the same time. May wait on that one for now.
Up All Night doesn't spark me at all -- the premise seems like it will get old after only a couple episodes (can prob say that about most new shows that fail).

That would explain it. For some reason NBC.com is saying that the series premieres on Wednesday with "cool neighbors" which the Internet says is the second episode.

you can tell the premise from the commercials that its SO CRAZY TO HAVE A KID AND TRY TO STILL DO THINGS, don't even have to see the show.

Other than the obvious, that show looks pretty bad. And I haven't read one good review. The only new shows that even remotely interest me on network TV are Person of Interest and Terra Nova.
