I was watching the score on ESPN mobile,and it looked like they were down by 6 with 30 secs to go.i thought it was over...stopped looking, then saw we won. Wow. I do think ESPN was wrong though

Just got back from the game. I love watching Alyssa go into Beast Mode. Dillard and Thomas were sitting in front of me and flipped out when she did that spin, and Dillard said something about our guys not even being able to do that. Ridiculous. Absolutely unstoppable when she's on, just like Marissa was.

I was there. About as exhausted as you can get from a women's game. Very exciting at the end. Basically it was get the ball to Thomas or Mincy and get the hell out of there way. The refereeing was god awful. The crew chief was okay but there was a short guy who I believe was wrong on every call he made. There was a short woman as well who did not call squat that was extremely obvious but then made 2 very questionable calls at the end of the game. At least it was one for each side.
The defense must pick up or losses are coming soon. Way too many layups and zero boxing out on the boards. However, very impressed with the resolve they showed in coming back. Most teams would have folded up.

Their style on defense creates problems for us.
Their full court, and half court traps are hard to practice, and require both good ballhandling, and patience.
We did get it figured out fortunately.
That seemed like 2 games. We couldn't even make a layup until we got down 20. Very nice comeback for the ladies.

Yep, since about when Brenda got here. We play D in spurts, but in general the Women's team tends to be able to score with anyone and when they do they win. If they get into a defensive battle or have trouble making baskets, their defense is almost never good enough to allow them to win. It's the been the same thing for a while now.
They started playing better D late in the second half and that led to the win.

Has the women's 3 point line moved back to the men's line? The notredame / uconn game only shows the men's line.
If so, why does Comcast center still have the old 3 point line? Is Maryland that lazy and cheap to remove it?
