i think he'll try and keep low profile and sit in a box

I'd be surprised to see him at many games.

I would imagine he makes some sort of appearance near the beginning of the season, gives Turgeon a vote of confidence, and then is in a box for the rest of the season.

He'll be there when they unveil Coach Williams Court, but that might be Maryland Madness. Other than that, I bet we don't see him at all next year.

Im sure he will stay away for a while, afterall thats what retirement is for...getting away from work. But when he comes back I bet he sits in the box. After 22 years theres no way he will be sitting anywhere near the court and not turn into good old Gary. I just can't imagine a scenario where he is ever sitting courtside and not screaming his ass off.

yeah, at the moment of his retiring, I thought that was a good idea and got very excited at the idea. But really it would just create a looming shadow on the court and hinder what the program needs to do now without him.

Gary is just too iconic a figure and too attached to the program to be that visible. It would be a real disservice to the current staff to have him looming there, and he alluded to as much in his press conference.

Biscotti said that his seat is always open for Gary.

Most seats will always be open next year.

If he comes here next year during our ACC games, I hope he's sitting in the catwalk with a compound bow aimed at the visitor's bench. At this rate, we'll need that to go 5-11.
