Uniforms for WVU

Saw them wearing the black matte helmets in practice today, so I'm guessing we'll be wearing those rather than the white helmets Saturday.

Good. People saw the shellmet during the Miami pregame, and it got a good amount of ink as well. Come out in those sexy, sexy black matte helmets.

The high is under 70 for CP on Saturday, I dont think the heat is going to keep us from wearing black. I just think we should wear red tops.

Black can get still hot if it's sunny even if the temp isn't that high. No reason to wear it Saturday.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think we should just say fuck it and take WVU's gold. Let's go black/gold/black.
One of my friends who is a WVU fan thought it was dumb that we have gold in our jerseys and seemed to be annoyed that it's one of our colors now (obviously he's a nub and didn't realize it's always been one of our colors, since before West Virginia was even a state). I think wearing gold would piss them off the most, especially considering we'll look better in it.

So let Edsall tweet it, and then Darren Rovell and a bunch of other national/local bloggers will retweet it tomorrow (and hopefully every week). It will give MD football another mini-buzz heading into the weekend.
Then when they get to a big game down the road (ND? ACCCG? Bowl?) and Edsall tweets something like "You'll have to wait for kickoff Saturday to find out", people will start buzzing again about what MD has up their sleeve (credit to TerpDaddy for saying this first in a different thread).

This. Exactly this. Unless you're going to completely blow the world away, there's no reason to keep the uniform combo a secret. Keep the info out there midweek to continue buzz. The world is not waiting with anticipation every week until Saturday to see which of the known combinations we'll be wearing.

Was reading through the blogs and Edsall offered one more clue as to which uniforms they'll be wearing this weekend:
Maryland’s four captains — linebacker Kenny Tate, offensive lineman Andrew Gonnella, defensive lineman Joe Vellano and running back Davin Meggett — voted on which of the more than 30 Under Amour-designed uniform combinations the Terrapins would wear against the Mountaineers.

Edsall said he is “sworn to secrecy” on the choice, but he did acknowledge that he believes Saturday’s uniform is the “best combination” of all the possibilities. For what it’s worth, Edsall previously said in an ESPN television interview that he personally favored the all-black uniform look.

“If this university had to go and pay for that publicity,” Edsall said, “we’d be broke. I know Boomer [Esiason] had it on his set [during the CBS studio show Sunday]. [ESPN] GameDay wants to know what we’re going to be wearing. Anytime somebody is talking about you I think it’s all good.”
