The real comparison between Gary and Turge is that Gary produced a bunch of my happiest moments as a sports fan and I will always be grateful for that. Turge is brand new and has not yet done anything to bring any kind of happiness to me as a MD fan.
Its the difference between being eternally grateful and cautiously optimistic.

Seems that Turge is a lot more "nurturing" in terms of PT. Parker, Pankey, and Faust would have been permanent fixtures on a Gary Williams bench it seems to me, but Turgeon gives them a much longer leash... maybe he simply has no choice given then roster deficiencies.
On the other hand, it's hard not to see the parallels between Stoglin's and Gilchrist's stormy relationship with their respective coaches.
I think Sturgeon has a done an incredible job but when I see Len do things like step into the free-throw lane on consecutive occasions, I don't want to think. Coaching has to be a factor there....

Turge compared to Gary?
