Seriously, they could have student suggestions for dumb slogans that would be better than these terrible sayings on these shirts.

DC Sportsbog also had a post where they said if you order the shirts for the Miami game its 40 bucks including shipping and tax. Boise State had shirts for different sections of their stadium but sold shirts for $9. They should have just made some cheap Fruit of the Loom shirts, had students design a shirt/logo for the special event and sell it for cheap.

Stop paying people to come up with terrible catch phrases that students could give you for free.

Well yeah, but every shirt people post here has a catch phrase as if its some requirement before it hits shelves. Someone has to know the reason for this, I'd love to know why they can't sell shirts with nothing on the back.

If it is outsourced, the design company was probably told that the shirts needed to reflect UMDs rebranding from Terps to Maryland. The design company isn't going to come back with simple designs that say Maryland football on them in 4 different colors because they are going to feel pressured to be creative.

There is less than zero chance Under Armour is responsible for coming up with the slogans/design on the back of those shirts.

I've talked to people in pretty much every area of the university, and none of them will fess up to it. Everyone passes the buck to everyone else.

The best was definitely the shirt commemorating our narrow defeat of a mediocre Georgia Tech team. I believe that was the "buzz this!" shirt and may also have been the "the proof is in the pounding [even though we only won by 3]" shirt.
