i cant believe im getting downvotes for the starting post. literally said 0 things controversial and just asked a question that i figured many of you guys would be in favor of. i cant win.
but looking at bcs jerseys, i can only imagine what UA would do for us. and our rink...
imagine possibly having the flag within the faceoff circles at each end, or something. it would be precedent setting for the sport as a whole.

Michigan arguably is the greatest hockey program in all of college hockey. The most national championships, frozen four appearances, NCAA Tournament appearances. 22 straight NCAA Tournament appearances which is a record. 25 straight 20+ win seasons.
Would like to see more teams added to the B1G.

Michigan actually beat maryland in 2001 for their first NCAA national championship in any women's sport.

With the Gophers joining the B1G in men's hockey in 2013-2014, the conference will have two of the arguably "greatest hockey program[s] in all of college hockey. ;)
We'd love to have another team in the conference, though.

By the way, if you're gonna start hockey, Minnesota comes in handy. They have by far the best high school icers in the nation. Here's a pic of the 2009 high school championship game.

I'd love to see a Maryland team, but let's be realistic. Big Ten hockey is Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State (and tOSU and PSU, which just started their program). That's a small conference, but it's a meatgrinder.
It would require a tremendous investment and possibly years/decades to break into the top half of the conference. Minnesota already has 15 players on the 32-man roster with NHL rights. At their worst and most dysfunctional, they're about a .500 team.
Maybe the Arab money will get the ball (puck?) rolling in CP, but I doubt that given our financial issues we'd make the investment in the program and put in the $$$$$ to renovate Cole. No doubt it would be cool, though.
