there is a wide range of information on him. 6-6 205 to 6-9 230 and different stats as well
must have grown up his senior year

I've seen him play a couple of times. I heard the rumor about Maryland or Georgetown. I didn't believe it, but I guess it was true. I personally thought he would be a better fit at a smaller school, but he is 6'9" and you can't coach height. He plays in the Bayside Conference on the Eastern Shore and is not facing anyone his size. His school has a pretty good chance of making the state tournament. They have the number one seed in the in the 2A East Region which is split into two parts. As long as they win they will have home games. I would expect him to redshirt. I am a former coach at Wicomico in Salisbury and still help out. If we win on Friday, we will travel to Queen Anne next week and I'll see him again. I wish the young man well (except next week).

there will be 4 big men next year , do they need a 5th ? I thought a guard was a much higher priority.

Thanks for the update, I'm out of the loop with Bayside hoops but just thinking back to HS if he is 6'9 he should absolutely dominate the league. Hopefully he has played good competition in AAU. I wonder who was point on his recruitment.

Wow, this is crazy. Last week I had this text exchange with my former admin. She's a mother of a HS kid in Centreville and knows NOTHING about sports.
Her: "When does MD decide what HS kids will play for them next year?"
Me: "Lol what? You mean signing day? We already have 3 kids signed to play for next year. Why?"
Her: "I am at a basketball game and this Demonte Dodd guy was introduced as going to play for MD next year"
Me: "umm who? I follow the terps pretty closely and have never heard of this kid. maybe he's walking on"
Her: "He's the biggest black kid anyone around here has seen and he seems pretty good"

Rumor is Gtown and Seton Hall offered. It's hard to say how good he is given his competition, though he did follow up a 37 point performance with a 41 point outing a few weeks ago.

I don't think he played AAU ball. He's just a kid who kept growing and started to develop his basketball skills. Could be a steal. Think Terrance Morris.
