Sam Cassell, Jr to MD

  • he looks pretty freakin' good in the video posted in this thread...certainly wouldn't mind a real 3 point shooter.

Shocked that you guys think everything is great

anytime something happens, you guys go 'ahhh this is so great' without thinking long term

As opposed to doing the precise opposite, I presume.

It's not a Kentucky class. But it's the best class at Maryland in 10 years.

    You're a broken record.

We have to do what we can to win next year. The Harrisons aren't going to want to come play here if they don't think they can win here, and since odds are that they won't land here anyways, it makes no sense to leave holes in the roster. I can't see how you can complain about getting a kid like this at this point in the recruiting season.

    Stoglin isn't a "real" 3 point shooter?

  • Bino strikes again. What has Hill done?

For such a time as this.

  • This. We put together a real nice class and should be much better next year. And the Harrison twins are not going to go elsewhere because of Cassell and Allen just like they wont be scared off by whatever high rated guards Kentucky has next year. I used to enjoy JoeBlacks trolling but it has become some stale and boring garbage. Step your game up.

  • Rule #1 in college ball: the more guards, the better. Bonus point if they can handle the ball. This is an awesome pickup.

  • Jeff, that's where me and the rest of you guys differ

I'm not going to be happy and think everything is all good unless we have Kentucky-like classes

the last decent class we had was with Gilchrist and Caner-Medley...they won the ACC tourney but was pretty damn disappointing overall

    I WANT KENTUCKY CLASSES!!!!

I am over the whole Gary era where we weren't able to find the recruit's Rivals profile...I want guys on the front page

if that means someone has to open up his wallet, so be it

Please god almighty...STFU already. There is a Kentucky board.... Go there and don't come back. Damn, I thought I was a shitty poster but you trump me!

  • His videos show an amazing ability to shoot accurately fading away. That's a pro shot. Must have learned that from his dad. Few college players can do this (Harrison Barnes is the only one I can think of this year)

So only 1 ship in 2013 available at this point wihout attrition...

it's pointless to make statements like this right now. wait until spring classes are over and see where we're at. we'll have no less than 2 ships available for the 2013 class.

  • "Like Sam, I Cassell"

He will be getting alot of time at the PG spot this summer with Peshons injury. I can't wait for him to prove the doubters wrong and show why he can be a starter in the ACC.

Learning from Turge, Larry Brown, being the son of Samcool , hes got a well of wisdom to drink from for the rest of his college career.

He already has "doubters"? We just found out about this guy 2 hours ago. Classic MD logic.

  • A couple thoughts regarding the Harrisons.

    1) Dad already said "they go against the grain. They wear Under Armour [rather than Nike]."
    2) Marquis Teague was the #1 HS PG in the nation last year. Averages 10 PPG at UK and may still be there in 2013.
    3) UK signed the #2 HS Shooting Guard in the nation (Archie Goodwin) for next year.

I know the twins will go head to head with anyone but... there's a chance they may not start at UK as freshman. Depends on what Teague does next year. Plus, if UK wins the title (without the twins) that means they don't really need them where Maryland does. It's the Tom McMillen sales pitch. Buy UM on the way up and YOU take them over the top. Plus dad likes Bino and Turge. I don't think UK is a done deal by any stretch. Calipari may not even be there if UK wins the title.

  • There is no amount of crowding that will stop us from getting the Harrisons. We WILL make room for them, period. And they won't be scared off by a couple of three-star guards.

He's been discussed in premium for weeks, but agree with the sentiment.

    +1

The Harrisons will not be scared off by competition. ANY school they consider will have talent at their positions. UK more than anyone else, most years. They lose guys to the pros, then reload. Look at the underclassmen on their team. UK is far more likely to have blueblood guards than Maryland in 2013...or most years. Especially if their PG and next year's SG stick around in 2013.

If you just found out about Cassell Jr. as a potential Terp, you haven't been paying attention.

Looks like all the trolls found this thread.

  • Glad someone noticed. Bino getting it done. He kept us Faust 2011. Lead recruitor in 2012 for Cleare, Mitchell, and Cassell and in 2013 if the twins come Bino will be responsible for a lot of the quality player turnaround in 3 straight classes.
