It is always wise to sign as many ball-handlers as possible. It's always better to force a PG/ball handler to play the 2 than vice versa. In college ball, you can never have enough PGs and shooters. Gary's biggest problem was that he signed a bunch of "athletes" and "slashers" all the time, none of whom can run an offense or shoot. Our most successful (relatively of course) seasons occurred when we had multiple guards who could shoot or handle the ball.
