Maybe Dad sees the UK Championship/Calipari-to-Knicks/Harrisons-to-us scenario playing out. Plus, USF has been churning out the pros lately. Who wouldn't want to be on that big stage in Tampa in front of, uh, hundreds of fans?

Eric Skeeters, from B-more, played at Coppin St. and was an assisant coach at Towson to Pat Kennedy...Sam Sr's coach at FSU.

Baltimore native Sam Cassell Jr. re-committed to the Terps at the Capital Classic. The guard picked UM over South Florida & Pitt.

I like your thinking- Surely we should have a starter-worthy PG out of Pe', Cassell, or Allen. Cool thing is we have FIVE guys on the roster who can legitimately play PG.

Unless there is a huge improvement I don't see how you can list Pe or Faust as "legit" PGs on a good team.

Is it wise to give out two PG scholarships in one class. Unless either of these guys is a combo player I can't imagine they'll both finish up in CP four years form now.

It is always wise to sign as many ball-handlers as possible. It's always better to force a PG/ball handler to play the 2 than vice versa. In college ball, you can never have enough PGs and shooters. Gary's biggest problem was that he signed a bunch of "athletes" and "slashers" all the time, none of whom can run an offense or shoot. Our most successful (relatively of course) seasons occurred when we had multiple guards who could shoot or handle the ball.

True, though they both played lots even as freshmen. Stogs and a healthy P make 4, and Nick (unless he's at the 3 spot) make 5. I don't think that's too many.

Yeah, if only Duane simpkins, Terrell stokes, Steve Blake, John Gilchrest or GV knew how to run an offense or shoot. What a fuck up Gary was.
