Pros: Played varsity basketball, mainly as a 4. Honorable mention All-County as a senior. Can dunk. Good student.
Cons: HS career ended 14 years ago. Only 6'5". Can't jump anymore. Already graduated. Have 2 kids.

Starting forward on the MD State Demolay champion bball runnersup in '71, DB on MD State Demolay fball champs that same year. Top (only) scorer on the UMD intramural fball team that beat the Vietnam Vets team in '73. Uh huh, that was us.

Won an MVP award at Bullis basketball camp ~7th grade after hitting a game winning shot in a no-dribble tournament. Scored winning bucket after getting stung by a bee on my shooting hand. Was given the award by none other than Georgetown legend and NBA star Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje lol

I am heart broken that I have ZERO credentials at this point, and on the best day of my life, I had almost zero credentials. I am old, broken down, short, and fat, couldn't shoot FT's, and I used up ALL of my eligibility. I actually lettered it high school basketball, and scored 21 in a High School game, but that was 45 years ago. I've got nothing, I tell you. NOTHING. So put me in, coach, I'm ready to play.

I played on the freshman team at Princeton and remember everything Pete Carrill ever said to us, which wasn't much because Bob Dukiet was actually our coach. But we got to watch the varsity practice a lot. So if Turge wants to run the elbow or chin or anything else Princeton I'm his man. The Smart Take From The Strong, baby.

I'm pretty good at Atari basketball.
I played backup forward for a 2-10 over 35 mens rec team.
Last season I took a shot that hit the wall behind the basket while the ball was still on the way up.
My parents are old and look kind of funny so would make interesting TV cameos.

Started for my rec team in 8th grade. Put up about 7 points and 6 boards a game, while fouling out of every game but 3. Im only 6'1 but I'm confident I could defend ACC 4s

I've played in college arenas at Texas, UVa, NCSU, Washington and at Cole Field House (journalist games...).
I've run pickup with Danny Ferry and Gary Grant.
I was dunked on by Quentin Jackson (former NCSU player and Globetrotter) in 8th grade.
Went 5-6 from 3 my last game of pickup.
I have the girth to hold the block... but I'm 5'9", white, have a torn ACL and arthritis in both knees and my lower back.

I played in pick up games against Adrian Dantley and Austin Carr. They both agreed that I had all the intangibles to be a very good college player and that I lacked only height, (I am 5-10) a good shot outside of five feet and an ability to dribble when covered. Nothing has changed in the last 40 years except that I am fatter and slower.
