    I disagree.

Beat GT and 2 wins in the ACCT tourney Beat GT & UVA and 1 win in the ACCT tourney

We are NCAA bound. Book it.

I wish that were true, but not a chance. The national media has been publicly stating all year that the ACC is really, really down this year. Absolute minimum needed is to finish at least 8-8 in the league and win at least 2 ACCT games. Then, we MIGHT get in the bubble discussion.

Personally, if we don't beat both UNC and UVA in conference, I don't think the committee will take us unless we win the ACCT outright and that's almost an impossible order. I wish it wasn't so. But, when it's this late in the season and you've NEVER been mentioned as a possible bubble team by the national press, you have to do something that really stands out to get noticed.

    • I think 21 is the cut off. Win the next 5, or lose @UNC and get to the title game. The 21-13 option has a last 10 of 7-3 with losses @UNC, @UVA, and an ACC title loss to UNC/Duke. Those things stick out. Especially when we can point to our worst two losses coming without Len. I don't think 20-13 works. The only chance is if we win @UNC, lose to UVA, and somehow get and beat UNC/Duke in the second round. Getting 4 against GT, UVA, BC/GT, and FSU/NCSU/UVA isn't going to do it. That Miami 2OT loss hurts more every day. Could be the difference between needing a semifinal UNC/DUKE win or not.

Regardless, take care of business in Atlanta or its all over. Going on the road against the worst team in the league while thinking the game @UNC is for a tourney bid has trap written all over it.

      • Agree with you. We lack a "statement" win - FSU/UVA aren't that good, so we'll have to beat UNC. Let's just win the ACCT baby!
