Screw it, I'm still excited.

Maryland sets 3 p.m. kickoff time for season opener - Washington Times

Terps will have mid-afternoon start to Sept. 1 game against William Mary

O/U on attendance - 21000.
I take the over but barely. 3pm game. Maybe 15000 season tickets plus 6000 students.

I don't know how easily. We'll know more when season ticket sales are released, but I can't imagine more than 15K season tickets. Plus there is nearly as high a level of football apathy amongst the students as the Vandy days. What was attendance for Game 1 in 1998 against JMU? I'm guessing it won't be that much higher than that.

works fine for me. come off the beach about 2:45 or 3 and fire up ESPN 600 or whatever we're streaming on for this.

Even with Rangoon, I hope more students than that. At least there should be a bunch of freshmen who don't really know what they are in for yet.

Labor Day Weekend without a big time matchup or somebody like Navy in Baltimore is going to struggle to get fans and students to actually show up. Hopefully my family will have had their fill of the beach by then..

Students will already be on campus. I bet the student section is mostly full. All the freshmen usually go to the first game.

yeah, to be honest i kind of want the labor day weekend games to be crappy. I'm still in summer mode and not packing up the beach house just yet -- besides I'll have a summer's worth of garbage to discard so will be a busy weekend for me.
