MD-Temple tickets at the Palestra

I received that too. The weather report doesn't look good for those (me included) heading up early tomorrow morning. Any advice on parking?

I'm thinking of heading up somewhere close tonight and finding a cheap hotel. How far is Penn from the airport?

  • I put this on the premium board too but I'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow and have tickets I'll give to anyone who picks them up in Columbia (off 32, near 95). PM me if interested.

I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?

  • The airport is no more than 20 minutes from Penn. Just right up 95 to 76.

  • Where we post gamin for the victory party? Little snow and ice can't stop the Philly invasion.

  • FYI, I just noticed my card was charged $10 extra at the game when I bought concessions there (outside of Section 212, cashier on the left) - might want to check your statement if you did too. I doubt anything comes of it, but I sent them an email just because I hate when people do crap like this:

I attended the game this past Saturday at the Palestra at 11:00am between Temple and Maryland. I had a great time at the game, and I loved the facility, but I noticed a billing discrepancy on my credit card from when I bought concessions at the game that I wanted to bring to someone's attention. I purchased a soda, water, and pretzel just before halftime from the concession stand just outside of Section 212 (down the stairs, to the right). The total came to $11.50. I looked at my credit card statement today, and it was charged $21.50. The total stuck in my head because I asked the girl working the register for a receipt, and she told me the machine was broken. So I don't know if it was just a slip of her finger, or if this employee was charging cards extra money and pocketing cash, or what. I don't expect any sort of reimbursement since I don't have proof (because I couldn't get a receipt), but I thought I'd bring to your attention in case it was a recurring issue.

  • ^ If they don't reimburse you, you should request a chargeback from your credit card. It's not about the money, but the principle.
