Olenski with his first career hit. This is amazing seeing the Terps get to pinch-hit all these bench players because they're up by so much.

damn didn't see Baxters post
So before the season what did people think we would be at this point 3-2? Would you have taken 2-3 through 5 games?

Would've taken 2-3 in a heartbeat. Never expected to take more than one from UCLA, if that, and would've never expected to win both today.
So....let's say we win tomorrow....is there even a slight chance we're ranked? I know it's unlikely, but is it possible?

We got a couple of votes from the writers last week so it's not a total impossibility. But yes, you are spot on with the 2-3. Early in the year like this it's not THAT hard to steal games from good teams, but to do what we have done thus far is impressive for any team in the country, much less someone who has zero expectations.

Upstart Maryland clinched its second consecutive winning weekend, beating Western Carolina 3-0 and crushing Purdue 11-1 at the Keith LeClair Classic. Tim Kiene (3-for-4, 3 RBI) hit his third homer of the season in the run rule-shortened game against the Boilermakers. The day wasn't all bad for Purdue, which did earn a 6-4 win against host East Carolina (which, in turn, beat Western Carolina).

Thanks guys, you guys have me pretty excited about Terp baseball. It's my favorite sport, but was never really interested in Terp baseball in the past.

So excited, but so upset this is happening now! I graduated last year, caught every home game (seriously, every single one) my freshman year, about 80% my soph year, and prob about 25% my last 2 years as things got busier, and obviously, we have to finally get good the year after I leave.

Pumped for the ECU game. My buddy and his family are all big ECU fans and always go on about their baseball program, so them Terps winning this would be fun to give them hell about
Edit to say i'm in the same boat as longbeachterp. They keep this up and i'll have to get in a few games up there.

Yeah, this is awesome, but it will ultimately come down to ACC play.
However, if you win today and take 3 of 4 or sweep Manhattan next weekend, then you are at the top of the bubble team pecking order for Regionals. I think if you win today and sweep Manhattan, 13 ACC wins might do it. I'm just guessing, though. Definitely in if you qualify for the ACC Tournament. That's really the goal. With the OOC resume we've built, even with a loss today, you're golden just by making the ACC Tournament.

Yes - more often than not to get the 8 seed in the ACCT you have a decent to good record, in which case you will typically get into the NCAAT
