i didn't explain it well. you're talking about for 1 year and i'm talking about over his career.

let's say that kenpom or some other such site had him at 5% to win the NC this year. he gets .05 national championships. Let's say in 2007 or whenever he had that really good team he was at 28%. he'd get .28 national championships. add those up for his career expected national championships. somebody like K would be waaaay over 1 national championship.

What killed me was listening to Dykes on Mike & Mike this morning when he actually cited as one of the points in support of the extraordinary coaching job that Calhoun did this year the fact that he had to miss opening practice to respond to the ncaa allegations. In other words, he was lauded all the more for having overcome the major obstacle of having to deal with the fallout from his own cheating. Amazing. (Or maybe not, unfortunately.)

heck no, cheating IS his legacy....testing the envelope....go over the line....get caught.....do things that could be treated as violations, that clearly are wrong.....pay AAU coach to get recruit......run program out of control repeatedly....BUT get away with it. He learned all the lessons that Tark never learned...his legacy IS successful cheating......
