With A you have GV, EH, LM and company playing these teams to win a NC:
Northern Iowa, Tennessee, Butler, Duke
You don't think GV could will us through those 4 games?

The amount of love I have for GV, not to mention Hayes and Milbourne so far exceeds anyone on that second roster. A tragedy for Greivis to go out that way.

Option A in a heartbeat. I am still haunted by that loss. Plus w/ option B JW would have made some dumb ass decision at a critical time next year. He has proven to do that before.

A. Another chance to watch Grievis work his magic. I agree with others, this decision isn't particularly close. That Maryland team would have treated Northern Iowa as the mid-major it was. Maryland's experienced backcourt would have matched up much better against them than either michstate or kansas did. Not saying Maryland would have beaten kansas, but I feel confident that our guard play was a step above theirs (n.iowa's), and certainly above michstate (and their "football-style" of basketball).
I tried being reasonable once. I didn't like it.

This. I finally agree with you on something. It's ridiculous looking around here and people praising Turg for the good work he is doing with a talent deficient roster. Well the 900 lbs gorilla is that Gary is the only reason this program is sucking right now and people are scared to say it.

Colts is right. I can't believe no one around here is willing to admit Gary had some shortcomings when it came to recruiting these past few years.

B, and it's not really close for me.
I need Maryland basketball to be fun and relevant and ranked and buzz and whatever. That team would be in the top 10 right now. Take a second and really think about that. I'm sick of looking at my season tickets like they're a 2nd job I have to work at night to support my children. GV's last season was a blast. Double buzzer beater, Clemson, Duke senior night... I enjoyed so many games despite the ending. Yeah the dagger shot sucked, but fucking get over it already. All you people calling it the worst night of your life would have forgotten about it the second #9 Maryland rolled through top 5 Duke and Carolina this season. You might not think so, but I suspect you would. The only reason the Lucious shot still burns the way it does is because no one's put a band aid on it yet.

The GV season was only so magical because we haven't had a truly great team in almost a decade. That's pathetic. That needs to be fixed.
