Hey Edsall

  • the most telling thing is the insecurity that shines through with these comments. for some reason he feels the need to justify the decisions and make sure he blames 100% of it on the player.

AlphaOmega said... im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.

I also said he may be going back to SAFTEY!!!!!

You mean where he should've been this year, since, you know, he wanted nothing to do with playing linebacker and made that clear to Edsall?

botbriet...i love your diplomacy, but it's not because we lost danny o'brien and his stats. It's because edsall took a nice kid, top shelf in every way, loved md, the face of md and totally disposed of him like he was a trouble maker or criminal. He couldn't even wish him the best and pinned it like the md football program is some well run machine and DOB is being the jerk and selfish.

DOES EDSALL REALIZE THAT 25 GUYS HAVE TRANSFERRED OR LEFT THE PROGRAM SINCE HE ARRIVED.

It's aint DOB or the players.

Yes 25 players leaving is very rare. And bad we will see. Like I said Edsall is fighting for his job this year. Shape up ,or ship out.

Ball so HArd, all the Bytches wana climb me.

Why is he fighting for his job? He has 5 years and $10 million left on his contract.

What happened last season? Was he not fighting to win games?

    Baldwin

  • He's not fighting for his job, but he may fight for his head coaching career or legacy. If we fire him after a bad season, he'll get a settlement, but whether he gets another real look at a real program will be interesting. His track record at Uconn will be exposed.

  • he should be fighting for his life

if we were a real football school he would be. there's no way he'd pull this stuff in the SEC. Down there, discipline means doing what it takes to win...none of this young men, and future bull shit.

I see what your saying. And I don't want to be edsalls defender, but anytime you have a new coach especially with a strong discipline mindset like Edsall kids will bounce. He wanted to move guys to different positions, that the last coaching stuff didn't tell them they would play. This guys weren't his guys. None of the players edsall has recruited want to leave,so that tells me he has a type of player he likes. And once the athletes fit the right system we will be fine. What destroyed last year, was. Crowtons offense just didn't fit the Maryland players on the roster. He was speaking French, and the players were thought German. Locksley is here and he will get even better talented player than the players who left. In my eyes just means more ships for 4,5 star players.

transitions are always difficult, he just screwed this one up royally however. But people can live with that. what's foretelling is that he's a fraud of a coach and quite frankly, as a person. and he's got no track record to suggest he can win enough to makes us ignore this fact. Seriously if we fire him, the rest of college football should pay tribute to us for saving them of this headache.

I think you guys are blowing things out of proportion. If my math is correct, I think it is only 24 players that have left.

If you have not seen it yet, here is his quote regarding DOB:

"I’m disappointed by Danny’s decision. Danny told me that he’s not committed to our program, that he’s not ‘all in.’"

DOB is a kid who gave it his all while he was here, was a great Terp who cared about all our teams, graduated, and it didn't work out in large part cause of your shitty coaching. Wow, i am truly at a loss for words. I didn't think I could hate Edsall any more.

I hate Rangoon as much as anybody in the world, and I don't think that quote is worth getting upset over.

  • Seriously, some of you like to whine for the sake of whining. Most women are more level headed than most of you.

I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?

    Omar Little

  • Garcia has been homesick since he arrived on campus under Ralph. This transfer has nothing to do with Edsal. The kid just wants to get back to the south and closer to home in Atlanta. Cannot put this on on Randy.

    I completely disagree (obviously).

This quote sums up everything I hate about him.

He takes a thinly veiled shot at Danny for leaving with the all in comment. He claims to demand respect and maturity from his players but shows none of those characteristics himself.

You want to hand the offense over to CJ, that is fine, no need to say anything other then "We wish him the best."

    Terp08

  • Maybe DOB actually told Rangoon that he's not committed to the program and that he's not "all in"?
